Hello, gentle (crazy) reader.

Y'all can't get mad at me for this, I know I said I'd do one book at a time but this is a short-story and I already have a shit tone of chapters pre-written . . . plus updates will only be once a week soooo :) 

We meet again. Now, when I first began my Wattpad journey I was new, inexperienced, and honestly just bored as hell since quarantine first began. I posted my first story with my all time favorite ship, BakuDeku. 

So, I think it's only right that I do it again with this lovely story here. It's angsty, but try and keep in mind that I never end my stories sadly. Okay?

Guess I'm dedicating each part of this book to ppl responsible for my upbringing on here, so first up is Lyz! 

Now, I'd like to give a special thanks to my dear friend Lyzard_Fan_Fics because without them I honestly don't think I'd be on here. I started off on Wattpad just reading Lyz's fics, then I thought to myself while reading "What if I made a story?". So, I did. And then, much to my surprise, a few months later Lyzard gave me a shout-out on their page (which only increased my following from then on out). Like, honeslty dude you rlly are the reason I'm on Wattpad in the first place. So, thanks.

This beautiful short-story will contain triggers for throwing up, mental health issues like suicidal thoughts, swearing, and slight sexual content. Y'all know I don't write smut so don't go any gettting ideas. I say this because Katsuki's a poor, lonely, teenager who lets his thoughts about Izuku go astray from time to time . . . but no homo mate :)

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ON CRICKET HANAHAKI DISEASE

Here are some phrases you'll see often. As well as an explanation on shit.

Host: Someone who carries the Hanahaki Disease because of an unrequited love.

Source: The cause of someone's unrequited love.

Fixing: Fixing is term used to describe when a Host is fixating their attention on the source of their unrequited love. This typically happens when the source has just been put in a life-threatening, dangerous, or bad problem and the Host is aware of this. Because the disease is due to a Host being in love a lot of senses tend to be heightened because of this, like their protectiveness over the Source. The Host will generally get quiet as they try to convince themselves that whatever happened, or is going to happen will be fine and their Source will remained unscathed. However, as I said all their attention goes to their Source, trying to get a Host to remove that attention can be deadly at times. Because of the disease. 
EX:  Kaminari, the source of his unrequited love. They had just been a fight with villains and Kaminari almost died. Kirishima, so overwhelmed with almost losing Kaminari, begins to Fix on him. Staring at him while Recovery Girl does a check-up on him. Sero tries to talk to Kirishima, asks him why he's staring, etc. Kirishima gives curt, one-word replies. Sero keeps trying to get his attention, Kirishima yells at him.

Hanahaki Disease/Thorns: Now, I did not create this disease (which everyone should know by now). However I did put a spin on it. You see, everyone knows that Hanahaki Disease is a sickness one gets due to an unrequited love. In order to get rid of the disease you have to get the Source of your unrequited love to say 'I love you' back and mean it. People usually get the disease after confessing their love for someone and not getting an answer back, getting rejected, or getting an answer back but having it meant in a different term or meaning (Ex: I love you as a friend), or if their love is so strong but they've never said anything for years. Get it?

When you have Hanahaki you throw up flowers, generally relating to he color of your Source's eye color or hair color. Depending on the severity of a Hosts' love you will throw up thorns, which can lead to breathing problems down the line.

Disease removal?: Now, initially going in, removing the disease is an easy process depending on age and severity. When a child or teenager presents a case of Hanahaki a doctor will usually ask if they know who the Source is, which can be tricky for some kids and teenager to find out. If they do not know, the doctor will proceed with further check-ups. If their lung capacity is a operational levels for surgery, with a parents consent, they will go in and remove the disease. However, the longer you have the disease and the older you get, the more likely the effects post-surgery will be detrimental to a person's identity.

Results may vary.

If their lung capacity is low, this is usually because they are throwing up thorns. In which case a doctor will provide pills to help with breathing, lung capacity, quirk control (to make sure their quirk does not affect the disease, which is a totally separate pill bottle), and the thorns. As well as edible (swallow-able??) mouthwash for raw skin and internal bleeding. Once lung capacity returns to normal rates they will proceed with surgery.
