"Oi! [F/N]! Have you heard about the annual lantern festival in Mondstat?" Paimon asked as you both made your way to the front gates of Mondstat.

It was at least 3:00 in the afternoon based on the pastel colors swirling in the sky. The shadows grew as you continued on your way.

"No? You do realize I'm not from here right?" you responded.

You froze in your tracks when you began to hear chanting ahead of the trail. You swiftly drew out your weapon and ran up the hill. Paimon followed with a look of confusion by your response. With your shoes clattering in the dirt road and the amount of elemental energy built up, you were ready to strike.

"Yeah, but-" Paimon's response was stopped by a stern look. You continued on the path waiting for foes to surprise you at any point.

"If it's the Abyss Order again, I swear on Venti's alcoholism-" you were snapped out of your thoughts as there were small lantern shaped objects floating around you and the entire path ahead of you was filled with drunks and families alike. You had visible confusion drawn out on your face while Paimon had a smug smile.

"See, what did I tell you?" Paimon remarked with a know-it-all attitude.

You put away your weapon. You speed walked your way over to one of the Knights setting up some more decorations.

"Do you need any help?" she asked when you came up to her.

"What are you guys doing?" you asked.

"Most of the Knights are preparing for the influx of intoxicated participants. As for I, I'm helping to set up the decorations in this area," her response sounded like she was a robot.

"Did you really have to ask her?" Paimon voiced out her annoyance at you for overreacting earlier. Her eyes glowed with sheer irritation and her hands were at her hips. Before you could reply, someone besides you three spoke.

"Hello there!"

You spun your head around to see Venti scratching his head and walking towards you.

"We were having a conversation!" Paimon yelled.

"Hehe, I guess that's on me.." Venti replied with a grin pulling on his lips.

You lightly tapped your foot on the pavement while Venti told you about his recent adventures besides the whole Stormterror situation. You could tell that Paimon and the Knight were loosing patience.

"And so my dearest Paimon and [F/N], that concludes my series of thrilling adventures," Venti concluded with a bow.

"All of that just to end with a bow?" you thought as Venti took your hand into his.

"How about I apologize for boring you to death by telling you the story of how this festival came to be?" Venti asked as he pulled you along the road.

"Let's go into the Angel's Share, shall we?" Venti began to move faster as Paimon began to notice you both slipping away.

"Sure-" you were cut off by him sprinting with you in tow.

You got looks from some locals when he ran faster. He cut corners and jumped on things. You began to get tired after his constant running and his jumping.

"Venti, slow down please-" you panted when he stopped to catch his breath.

"No can do, sorry!" he responded with a cheeky tone and a grin.
