"Okay chat we're just gonna finish decorating before we end stream tonight."

While finishing up my hardcore world stream I heard a vibration on my desk- evidently coming from my phone. I took a quick peek at it and saw it was from my brother, Jamie.

Oh shit- I'm dead meat, I silently cursed. "Uh- chat I lied we're gonna end a little early today. We'll be doing mcc at three pm est tomorrow, okay?"

I didn't even wait to play my outro song this time. Chat was filled with confusion but I didn't want to be late. I typed a quick response to Jamie "omw" and grabbed a sweatshirt before heading out the door.

I completely forgot about Jamie's volleyball game- I thought it was tomorrow.

Fuck I'm a horrible sister. I mean, this is his first big game after all. He (and probably his team too) have worked so hard for this. It's their first time entering a tournament and today they'll be playing the first and second rounds. Of course, like the "good" sister I am, I want to be there to support him.

I practically sped all the way there, only slowing when I spotted a cop car hanging around the side of the road. To be honest, the guy must've been sleeping or staring off into space, because I was going 45 in a 30.

When I arrived, I had to text Jamie and ask which building to go into. There were like- three identical buildings. How is anyone supposed to get around here?

He told me they were playing in the middle one so I went in and found their team was warming up on the court all the way to the left and in the back. I made my way over to a seat that I had a good view of both teams and tried to find my brother.

There were six players on their side of the court and two on the bench off to the side- as well as who I assumed to be their team manager and coach.

I noticed Jamie on the right side in the front and waved to him when he looked around. I presume he was looking to see where I was. When he saw me he visibly relaxed and waved back.

Jamie and I have always been there for eachother. Since we were young, we've always been just the two of us. Mom died when we were young, and our so-called "dad" was never around. Probably with another women or out drinking. We learned to take care of and support each other from a very young age, so naturally, we still rely on each other.

Throughout the game, I tried to keep up but I kept spacing out. I mean, I don't know much about vollyball but I know the positions, and somewhat what they do. Only because I watched Haikyuu to be honest- but- you know.

The game ended up with them winning 37 to 19. Hey, maybe Jamie isn't as bad at everything as I thought he was. In the second second game they also won- this time 32 to 24. Afterwards I met him outside to congratulate him on their win.

"Thanks, y/n. But- did you forget about the game today?"

Oh.

"Jamie I'm so sorry. Look- I was streaming and we hit a follower goal on Twitch and I was excited and got caught up-" He punched my shoulder. Ow.

"Hey, it's okay! I know how passionate you are about that. I'm glad you were able to make it either way." I let out a sigh of relief. I felt bad for forgetting- really. "The team is going out to dinner after this," he offered. "Wanna join us?"

Do I? Well- I mean- I haven't eaten all day. And it would be nice to hang out with Jamie and meet his team. But..

"That sounds great and all Jamie- but I don't want to impose on you guys. Thank you for the offer though."

"Oh come on- we're getting Chinese. We don't mind, so why don't you come along? I would love to meet the infamous sister Jamie is always talking about."

A man- who I assume is the Coach- came up beside Jamie and put an arm around him.
"What he said." Oh wow. Convincing, Jamie. Very.
"If you're sure.." I give in. "Hey wait, what do you say about me Jamie?"

Time Skip brought to you by 💃Shrek🕺

When we were all seated I was next to Jamie (of course) and another intimidating tall guy. I'm pretty sure I remember him being the middle blocker- which makes sense. And me being 5'2- he's terrifying. Everyone else was talking, too. I wasn't sure what to do with myself, so I kept quiet.

Jamie could sense how out of place I felt and turned to me.

"Hey y/n, you know Oliver is into streaming and Minecraft too."

Oh. My. God. I love you, Jamie, but I hate you right now. I don't think he gets how embarrassing it is to tell someone you make a living playing a video game professionally.

"Oh, really? That's cool!" I awkwardly laughed. Surprisingly, when I looked over at the other guy, Oliver, he didn't seem as embarrassed. Actually, he seemed more excited than anything.

"That's super cool! You don't normally meet other gamers- let alone streamers irl. You stream?" I relaxed a little bit. Okay, maybe this guy isn't so intimidating.

"Yeah," I responded. "Mainly Minecraft, to be honest. I switch it up sometimes though. I recently started streaming Genshine."

"I've never played Genshine but I hear it's really good. I only ever stream Minecraft, to be honest. What's your twitch username?"

"Oh its y/t/n (your twitch name)- but my stream normally just calls me y/nn (you're nickname)." He looked surprised. Like. Scared surprised. When he spoke, he seemed nervous.

"I think I've heard of you before. Actually- I follow you on Twitch. I don't know how I didn't recognize your voice to be honest." That's. Awkward. *insert Technoblade bRuHh*

"O-oh! Haha, cool!" Note the awkward laughter. "Do you stream? What's your Twitch?"

"Ah! RanbooLive. I just started streaming so I don't expect you to have heard of me or anything."

"Actually- I think I've heard of you before. I just haven't watched any streams or seen any of your content. We should stream together sometime!"

When I tell you his eyes went wide, I'm not kidding. Dude looked like he saw a ghost. Or like someone ran over his cat.

"Yeah! That'd be awesome."
