Chapter uno ( The whole story is in thrid person, atleast that's what I think it is O_o)

It was a cold, rainy, December afternoon in the small town of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Mary had just gotten out of school; stressing over the all the tests she’s going to have next week. She opens up her black umbrella, not wanting to get her hair or bag wet. She stood at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive so that she could get home and start on all of her homework due the following day. About 10 minutes have passed and she still stood in the same place waiting.

She began tapping her left foot on the ground. “What is taking this bus so long?” She looked at her watch and drew out a long sigh. “Mother is going to be so angry if I get home late!”

Mary looked at the direction the bus was supposed to be coming from and noticed Joseph walking down the hill. Joseph waved at Mary; he wondered why she was standing in the rain if school had ended like 15 minutes ago. Mary shyly waved back at him.

“Hey there!” Joseph smiled brightly at Mary but all she could do was smile back at him. She has been crushing on Joseph since 8th grade. There wasn’t a whole lot of age difference between them; she was 15 and he was 17.

Joseph caught Mary looking back at the direction of the bus route and he suddenly thought ‘maybe I go drive Mary home’. What most people didn’t know was that Joseph had the biggest crush on Mary as well.

Joseph looked at Mary and thought ‘this is my chance; all I have to do is ask her’. Joseph asked Mary “Are you waiting for the bus?” She nodded. “Do you want a ride?”

Mary’s eyes widened. She couldn’t believe what he was asking her, but, she was scared, and all that was going through her mind was ‘what if he thinks I’m boring, then I will truly never have a chance with him. Then again, all Joseph thought was ‘I am so dumb, of course she’s going to say no! Why would a girl like her; innocent and beautiful, waste her time with a guy like me?’

Mary finally decided on what to say and it made Joseph the happiest guy alive.

“Sure”

It has been 3 months since the day Joseph drove Mary home. They actually hit it off; surprising both of them. Joseph had asked Mary out on a date and at first Mary was hesitant but eventually said yes. They have been a couple since then.

It is now a rainy, March Monday morning. Mary was getting ready to go to school. Every morning Joseph would walk by her house to pick her up so that they could walk to school together. Joseph was downstairs pressing on the doorbell multiple times.

“I’m coming! Mom could you let Joseph in?” yelled Mary from her room. Mary’s mother, Anne walked to the door and invited Joseph in. Joseph stepped in drenched in water because he had forgotten his umbrella at home.

“Oh my, Are you alright, dear?” asked Anne to Joseph. He smiled and nodded toward her. Mary finally finished getting dressed and walked down the stairs to leave with Joseph. Anne and Joseph were still standing at the door way because Anne didn’t want Joseph to get the rest of the floor wet. Mary hurried down the stairs. Joseph noticed her and smiled. He thought to himself ‘I sure am a lucky guy to have a girl like this; beautiful as always’.

“You ready to go?” asked Mary to Joseph. He smiled at Mary and nodded. The 15 minute walk didn’t feel too long because Mary and Joseph always had something to talk about.

They had to separate when they got to Thomas Jefferson Art Academy because they had different homeroom.

Once Mary entered class she sat down at her desk and pulled out her notebook and began doodling on it.

Gabriel saw Mary walk into class and watched her as she began to draw something on her notebook. ‘This is my chance’ he thought.

Mary felt a pair of eyes on the back of her head but she didn’t want to turn around. She wasn’t scared; she was just sort of weirded out that someone was watching her so intently. Mary continued to doodle on her notebook.

Gabriel had to get her attention; he had to let her know something very important. He got an idea and wrote something on a piece of paper and threw it at Mary’s head.

“Hey! Who did that?” shouted Mary. Everyone in the class looked at her as if she was mad and then returned to what they were doing. Mary looked at the ground and saw the crumbled ball of paper. Gabriel sighed in relief that his plan was already in motion.

When Mary un-crumbled the piece of paper she saw what it said. ‘Meet me at the supply closet during lunch’. ‘Now that is creepy’ thought Mary. She got up from her desk and threw the paper away. The bell rung to get to the next class and Mary grabbed her stuff and walked out of the room.

Throughout the day all Mary could think about was that note she received in homeroom. She was almost paranoid; thinking that someone was planning a murder or something. Joseph noticed it as well and asked if she was okay and Mary would say yes.

It was already time for lunch and Mary had decided that she wanted to meet up with the stranger in the supply closet. She didn’t know why but it just felt like the right thing to do.

Joseph was already heading to the lunchroom. He thought about how strange Mary had been acting. ‘Maybe I did something to upset her’ thought Joseph, ‘but what could I have done?’

Gabriel had walked to the supply closet and waited for Mary to arrive. He saw Mary walking towards him with her head down. Once Mary looked up she was puzzled. ‘Was Gabriel the one who gave me the letter? What does he want?’ Mary stopped walking in front of Gabriel.

“Hey, Gabriel... Where you the one who threw the paper ball at me?” asked Mary. Gabriel nodded and began explaining to Mary what he has been told.

“You see Mary; I am a messenger of someone with great power. He wanted to let you know that you are the chosen one…” said Gabriel. Mary was confused. ‘What am I chosen for?’ she thought. Gabriel continued with his explanation. “Look, I don’t want you to freak out so just let me finish explaining and then tell me what your response is.” Mary nodded and Gabriel continued. “Okay. So the person with great power has chosen you to give birth to a child that could save all of humanity. This child will be a boy who you will then name Jesus. Please don’t be scared, I know this is a lot to take in but you’re in the favor of the most high and your son will be great.”

Mary was feeling a mix of multiple emotions yet none of them were fear. She knew that the right thing to do was say yes but she didn’t know why. Mary felt like this duty was her life’s calling.

“Who is this person that has great power?” asked Mary to Gabriel.

“God,” Gabriel responded. “God is the one who holds great power, our father.”

Mary was shocked. She could not believe that God himself had chosen her to bear his child. “Okay.” was Mary’s response. Gabriel smiled and gave a contentful sigh.

Mary knew she had made the right decision but she knew she had to do something; something important. Then she though ‘what is Joseph going to think?’

Joseph hadn’t seen Mary the entire lunch period and he began to worry. ‘What could she possibly be doing? Is she hurt? Should I go look for her?’ various thoughts were going through his mind. He finally made his decision to go look for Mary but once he got up she walked into the lunchroom through the cafeteria doors. Joseph smile and sat back down. All the weirdness he felt from before was now gone and everything seemed to go back to normal.

.

\ But Mary knew that she had to tell Joseph.

So that was it for this chapter you guys, I hope you like how it's going XD
