Chapter cuatro (This is the last chapter by the way :'( *tear*)

The dinner was over and it was time for everyone to go to bed. Mary and Joseph began walking over to the barn. Mary was no longer sleepy, Joseph guess that the dinner pack filled with conversation and music was like a bucket of cold water to the face. He chuckled. Joseph looked up and noticed a big, bright star right above the barn.

‘It’s beautiful’ thought Joseph. He couldn’t keep his eyes away from it and tugged on Mary’s arm so that she would see it as well. Both of them continued looking up and walking and not noticing they had reached the barn until Joseph tripped over a stack of hay. Mary giggled, ignoring her boyfriend who pleaded for her to help him up, and continued walking into the barn.

The barn was a lot more spacious then she had expected and it didn’t stink like she thought it would. Joseph entered tumbling into the barn which made Mary laugh a lot harder than before.

“Wow! This is huge.” Joseph said in astonishment. Mary nodded and found an empty stall with beds of hay and a lamp. She wobbled over to the bed and laid down on it. Joseph mimicked her movements and wobbled over the bed. “You walk like a penguin.” Joseph chuckled and so did Mary. They turned off the lamp but there was a whole on the roof of the barn so it was still lit by the star they saw earlier. They both fell asleep.

Mary woke up feeling a pain in her stomach. She gave out a loud shriek that woke up Joseph. She felt warm water coming out of her lower region. She grabbed onto Joseph's arm and squeezed it tightly when she felt another shock of pain.

“NOW!” shouted Mary to Joseph. Joseph’s eyes were wide and full of fear. ‘Oh my, oh my, oh my! I can’t believe this is happening now.’ Thought Joseph.

“What!? What do you mean?” Joseph asked Mary.

Mary looked at Joseph and if looks could kill he’d be 6 ft under at this moment.

At the main house. . .

Cousins of Veronica are now arriving to the house because they had gotten lost along the way. They knocked on the door and a lazy-eyed Veronica opened up.

“Casper, Michael, Bartholomew, what are you guys doing here at this hour? The dinner is over and everyone is now sleeping. There is no room in the house so I guess you’re going to have to go back home or sleep in your car.” Veronica said to the three men. The three of them were now sad.

Casper; the youngest of the 3 looked up at the star-lit sky and noticed a very big star shinning over the barn. He tapped his brothers on the shoulder and made then looked up as well.

Bartholomew; the oldest said that he had read in an article that below a very big star is a miracle. They decided that they were going to see this miracle but Michael; the middle child interrupted.

“Hey where’s Mary and Joseph?” asked Michael to Veronica. She told him that they were in the barn. He then asked if it was true that Mary was pregnant and Veronica nodded her head yes.

“Can we give them our congratulation presents?” asked Casper. Veronica nodded again and told them she was going to bed and that they would have to find out where they were sleeping.

Then they heard a loud scream coming from the barn and ran towards it.

A few hours later. . .

Mary finally gave birth. During the process many animals began entering the barn. There were chickens, horses, pigs and they all seemed to want to get a look at the baby.

“He’s going to be named Jesus.” Said Mary; holding her child closely to her chest. Joseph nodded in agreement and smiled at his girlfriend and his son. He was a happy man and he knew that Mary and Jesus were the two most important people of his life.

Mary looked all around the barn and noticed 3 unfamiliar men standing by the doorway. They had objects in their hands. They began making their way toward Mary and Joseph. Joseph knew who they were and greeted them.

“Casper, Michael, Bartholomew, how are you guys?” asked Joseph. They each responded with a ‘fine’ or a ‘good’ or a ‘okay’ but Joseph didn’t mind. Joseph looked at their hands and noticed that they were for a child. He looked at them with a confused expression.

Bartholomew said that they were gifts for the child.

“A stroller, so that the child doesn’t have to be carried everywhere.” Said Bartholomew.

“A rattle, so that the child can be kept busy and happy.” Said Casper.

“A pair of clothing, so that the child has something to wear and keep him warm.” Said Michael.

Mary accepted each gift with a kind, warm-hearted smile and a thank you. She was happy that somebody else was in the barn because she felt that it was a bit empty and needed more people.

“So what are you naming him?” asked Casper.

“Jesus.” Both Mary and Joseph responded at the same time which made them laugh. Jesus opened his eyes and looked at his mother and smiled. He then looked at Joseph and stretched his arm out for him.

It was a precious moment for both Joseph and Mary. They were extremely happy with everything that happened and had no regrets.

Joseph looked at Mary with tears in his eyes and asked her a question he never thought he would ask until later on in the future.

            “Will you marry me?”

“Yes.” Responded Mary. Joseph now felt like the luckiest man alive and gave his soon-to-be wife a long hard kiss on the lips while Casper, Michael, and Bartholomew clapped; happy that they were able to witness Joseph proposing to Mary.

Goodbye my lovlies, for it is now that I must leave and continue to hide under my pillow. FEARING that they will find me and take me away to that TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE place.

DON'T. LET. THEM. TAKE. MEEEEE!!! :O
