Underestimating Feelings [IzuMina]

AN:Bello everyone, how's it goin? Alright imma keep this short so I do my best to throw out the first couple chapters quick as I can. So what to say... not much tbh,this story is just for fun at the end of the day but it's also practice for writing in general so any and all criticism is not minded and that's really all I have to say so lets get on with it!

A feeling of pride had filled one green haired teen, a feeling only felt a few times before mainly due to his past and lack of confidence, but in this past year Izuku Midoriya has felt pride in himself a few times now. In his life all he ever felt was ashamed, but since meeting his favorite hero and finally hearing the words has has wanted for years, Midoriya can say he has some pride in himself and he can feel pride in his actions. Such as when when he cleaned the entire beach in ten months when he was only meant to do a portion of it, shocking his mentor All Might. He felt a huge amount of pride when he passed the entrance exam and made it into his dream school albeit he was also terrified when he got the letter. He felt pride when he helped his friend Todoroki get over his issues with his father and his close friend Iida take down the hero killer, and he felt immense pride in being able to utilize One For All in a different way, as well as when he was able to become Kota's Hero.

The most recent feeling of pride the greenette felt was when he had just taken down Chisaki Hassaikai otherwise known as Overhaul, and saved the little girl resting on his back. Said girl was just knocked out by Aizawa's erasure quirk due to hers going haywire, thankfully it was dealt with before anything bad happened to anyone. Izuku groaned in pain while lightly embracing the child on his back as everyone made their way to the duo to asses the damage. The teen felt good about what just happened and in awe of himself at the full power of One For All, just thinking about reaching this height on his own in the future made him giddy but before he could think on the possibilities the pain caught up, causing him to black out due to his brain being unable to keep up with all of his nerves screaming out in agony at once.

"Amazing...This was not the future I saw, that boy really did twist the future" Sir Nighteye breathed out in awe, a small smile in play before he passed out a moment later, Froppy managed to keep hold on him and sighed in relief at this finally being over, before she called for assistance in moving the injured pro to a hospital.

Everyone was in high spirits after this successful raid, nothing could bring them down, but at that moment everyone forgot that life is a cruel mistress and wants nothing more than to curbstomp you just to see what will happen next.

"SIR!" 

The cry could be heard all around the hospital as Mirio Togata and Izuku Midoriya cried out, while in the background retired pro All Might, aka Toshinori Yagi and Nighteyes sidekick Bubble Girl, aka Kaoruko Awata cried in silence. The only sound besides sobs was the high pitched screech from the heart monitor flatlining.  

The parting words of Sir Nighteye had rammed into everyone with the force of a Detroit smash, Mirio fell to his knees his cries growing louder while he was thrown back into his memories of his time with his now deceased mentor, to his right stood a frozen Izuku, gripping the railing of the bed so tight his knuckles had turned white, his mind a raging typhoon of 'what-if's' and self hate for not being able to prevent this, teeth gnashing as the stream of tears poured down his tired face.
