...

That next morning, Aster's phone blew up with text messages. All of them were from Millie.

millie
aster

asterrrr

i wanna have a movie night later

except im working late with finn and the others so it'll probably be late later

9:30pm

"Oh my god." Aster muttered under her breath. Another one of Millie's parties. She thought. The girl didn't feel like getting up and getting ready for another one of Millie's kinda failed events. The last time she went to a party of Millie's, she broke her sister's favourite vase while trying to show us how she does her cartwheels. And another time, she broke an another vase trying to do a cartwheel. The lesson learned: don't do cartwheels in the house.

Aster looked at the time on her phone after getting ready, and it was already 8:30pm. She did only wake up 2 hours ahead, considering she went to bed at 10am after last night's events. She decided to head over to Millie's place for the night. (a/n: bye lmao this writing is so lazy, im lowkey losing my sanity as i type this out)

When she arrived, the first person she laid eyes on was Louis, whom had greeted her with a quick kiss on the top of her head before swinging his arm around her.

"Aw, love." Finn said, with a great big smile. "I hate it." Louis playfully gave Finn a light slap on his arm before they all walked through Millie's front door.

"Mills, what are we watching tonight?" said Caleb, sitting down on a nearby couch, in which Millie was scrolling through Netflix on her big screen.

"Caleb!" Millie exclaimed. "Is that even a question? We're watching Enola Holmes, of course."

"And that is my cue to leave." Finn said, about to get up from his seat, but Millie pushed him back down.

"Aster, come with me to get the snack bar." Aster, whom Louis was chattering with in each other's ears, nodded and gave Louis a quick peck on his head, before getting up from her seat to follow Millie.

"Listen, man." Finn started. Louis turned his head to face him, his full attention shifted away from his girlfriend and onto Finn. "I don't mean to sound like a douche when I say this, but please don't mess this up."

"Like my-"

"You know, this... thing, that you have with Aster. I mean, your relationship with Aster. Listen, I'm sorry, man. I just don't wanna seem like that one suspicious, overprotective guy friend that she has, but I've known Aster for almost 10 years of my life and she's one of the only things that have kept me alive.

"And you know, I love you man but when it's over for Aster, it's over for me too. But I really don't think it's gonna happen, you guys basically love each other." Finn finished in almost all in one breath. Louis gave one small smile towards his friend and nodded.

"I'll try my best, Finnie." He said, patting him on the back before they moved their attention back to the movie.

Millie soon came back in a matter for seconds and sat beside Finn on the sofa. "You good?"

"Hm?" Finn took his eyes of the screen and looked right at Millie.

"You do know I am literally the only one who knew about your thing for Aster, right?"

"And what thing are you talking about?"

"You know. Your thing."

"Millie, I still don't know wh-"

"Finn, you're literally so incredibly stupid, I can tell by the way you talk about her. And it's partially the reason why you're trying to be super friendly and close with Louis." Millie whispered. She didn't think Louis or anyone else at the party could hear her because of the volume of the movie. "I know, Finn."

Finn was just completely silent after that. Millie looked at him in sympathy. Yes, she just kinda gave him a reality call, but she also felt bad. "Finn." Millie tried to get his attention again. "Finn."

"What, Millie?" Millie immediately detected the exasperation in his voice.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine, Mills. You're right though."
