[ 3RD PERSON ]

"Aster." Millie spoke up while she walked down the porch steps, after finally getting her car to stop alarming, and marched towards her two friends.

"Yeah, uh. I thought you hated me. I thought u you were mad at me, And I don't even know what for." said Louis, looking right at Aster. "I gave you my Instagram password, and then accidentally snitched and... Oh. Yeah, I see now."

"Louis. I was never mad at you." Aster looked at the boy with an expression of empathy on her face. Louis furrowed his brows in utter confusion and cocked his head to the side. "It was me. I was mad at myself."

"Why?" Louis asked. "You're literally the most perfect person I know. How could you be mad at yourself?" He slightly smiled.

Aster sheepishly looked down at her feet, not really knowing what to say. "Um, yeah, I- uh." She struggled with her words.

It was quiet for quite a while and Millie turned back to look at Finn, and they both exchanged the same expression, indicating that they should both head somewhere else and leave the duo alone to talk.

"That's the thing. I had no idea. I had no idea why I was so angry with myself." Aster said, sniffing her nose. Her voice was nasally and dry. It cracked between words. It was the tone of voice Louis didn't want to hear Aster with. Louis looked at the girl with worry. He didn't want this story to turn out how the thought it might.

"I constantly kicked myself every day because I didn't think I could handle it. I just couldn't. So I got angry with myself when I thought it was bad for me to be talking with you. And I just couldn't get over you. But really it was the internet that I couldn't get over. They were the ones angry with me. I-I just didn't know why."

Louis didn't know how to respond.

"I'm sorry, Lou. I just thought it would just get better if I stayed away. But I guess not. I needed you. It was bad for me either way."

"What are you talking about? What do you mean?"

Aster wiped her nose. "Can you please just not pull the 'I don't know what you're talking about' card? Cause I know you know. It'll just make me feel even worse."

"Listen, Aster. I genuinely have no idea what you mean. But if any of it means anything, I'm sorry for anything I did." Louis looked down at his shoes.

"It's okay." Aster muttered under her breath. "It's not your fault, Lou."

"Millie!!" A yelp came from the side of the house that came from Aster's backyard. Aster and Louis turned their heads to face the voice. "Stop pushing me! Ow, why does Aster have rose bushes in her backyard?"

Finn came out from the side of Aster's house, Millie following in right after, aggressive pushing Finn in front of her. "I just had a great idea."

Millie opened her palm, gesturing for Finn to give her the car keys. "Who wants to eat?"
