[ 3RD PERSON ]
"Are you gonna eat that?" said Finn, looking at Louis' food, untouched.
"Knock yourself out." He chuckled, giving him the signal that Finn could eat it. "Oh my god, it's literally 3am. How do you guys sleep like this on a work day?" Louis yawned.
"Oh easy." Finn replied. "We don't."
"You're telling me you're going to work in 3 hours without any sleep?"
"Yes. Exactly." Finn said, gobbling down Louis's sandwich. He looked at Aster's food, which was also untouched. "Are you gonna eat that too?" She shook her head, which Finn just grabbed immediately after her response.
"I have one question." Finn said after a few moments when there was an awkward silence. Louis and Aster just shot their heads up from their phones to look at Finn. "How long have you guys been dating?"
Aster nearly choked on her soda that she was currently sipping, "Finn, we're not together-"
"Like hell y'all aren't. I was sus of you two from the beginning." Millie cut into the conversation.
"No, like seriously. We aren't together." said Louis.
"You expect us to believe that?" Finn chuckled. "You guys may not be together, but literally everyone thinks that."
"And when he says everyone, I think he means everyone." said Millie. "Check instagram. And twitter. And tiktok. And maybe youtube."
"This is exactly why I hate the internet." Aster spoke up. "They literally make up the most fake bullsh¡t and have no proof for it. And then people will believe it and constantly just leave hate in your comments for it." Millie, Louis and Finn just stared at Aster, hope in their eyes. "But this time they were kinda correct about it." Aster looked down, twiddling her fingers, trying to distract herself out of the convo.
"What do you mean? You and-" Finn said but Aster cut him off.
"Yeah. Actually no. Well, I mean," She looked at Louis. "I didn't know what you thought about me but I really much doubt it. Sorry. I don't know why I jump to conclusions so fast." She looked back down at her lap.
"Are you kidding me, Aster? Why do you think I travelled all the way from London to here? I took a 10 hour flight just to see if you're okay. I was genuinely worried. Why? Because I care about you. We literally just met in-person like 1 hour ago and it was nothing like I wanted it to be 2 years ago when I fell in love with you. And you didn't even know who I was back then. But ever since we actually started talking, it wasn't the kind of feeling I felt when I first fell in love. It's different now." Louis exhaled. "But not in a bad way, of course."
Aster looked up at Louis shyly. She gulped in all the words that just came out of his mouth. It was hard, she didn't know how to process all of it. She had to think about it. She got up from the booth and walked out of the building abruptly, with Millie, Louis and Finn following closely behind.
Aster was found pacing outside in the empty parking, heavily breathing. Louis walked up behind her, wondering what he should say. Or what he should've said. He believed he did something wrong again.
"Aster, I-" Louis started but was soon cut off by Aster quickly turning around and smashing her lips into his. She quickly pulled away after noticing what she just did.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry." She said, her eyes wide with concern. "I should've asked first of something."
"No, no. It's okay." Louis said, smiling down at her. The two were practically so close to each other, they could hear the breathing of the other one clearly. The boy's hands were wrapped around Aster's back as they held onto each other. "I liked it."
"Oh." She muttered out.
"Think we could try that again?" Louis continued to smile brightly at the girl before she nodded her head as a signal. The two seventeen-year-olds connected their lips once again, this time feeling the fresh air of outside as the tender kiss went on. Aster felt the soft smile of Louis' mouth form as she hugged him. She didn't feel alone or angry at herself anymore as she felt the past couple days. This time, she finally felt comfort.
