"Oh my God, Bree," Ivy breathed, looking at me in awe. "You look incredible!"
I grinned at my best friend. "You really think so?'
"Like a princess!" Chesa exclaimed.
Today's finally the day Oliver and I are getting married.
The last seven months have been a whirlwind with Oliver and I attending to our parental duties, working harder than ever at the network and planning our wedding. But finally, today we'd be standing in front of sixty of our closest friends and family including their children saying I Do. Naturally, Ivy had the role of being my main of honour while Valerie, Hope and Artemis were my bridesmaids and Chesa, Tori, Zara and Oliver's nieces, Zoë and Sarah were all flower girls. And to make the day even more special, Oliver and I were getting married on the day we met exactly six years ago.
"You look beautiful, Bree," Valerie said to me as she straightened my veil.
Looking at myself in the full length mirror, I couldn't help but be in awe of the dress I had on.
It was an Elie Saab dress that he had designed for me. I don't know how but Lucinda had her connections and asked him to design my dress for me. It cost an absolute fortune but Lucinda was determined to spare no expense when it came to her youngest son's wedding. The dress was a lace embroidered ballgown with an illusion neckline and sheer long sleeves and cinched waist and white belt detail.
"Are you ready?" Ivy asked me as she handed me a bouquet of white roses.
"I've been ready for six years," I laughed, feeling butterflies in my stomach.
Once we'd done final dress and makeup checks, the bridal party filtered out into the two limousines that we had hired for the day. Ivy, her father and I would be riding in one and the rest of the bridal party would be in the other. Because Ivy's father, Andrew, had without hesitation, stepped into the role of my father figure after my own had passed away, I had no qualms about asking him to give me away and he accepted without hesitation.
When we got to the church that my son had been baptised in a little more than a year ago, it finally hit me that this was all so very real. I was getting married to the love of my life.
"Here goes nothing," Ivy beamed at me and then kissed my cheek and whispered good luck before standing at the doors of the church in the gorgeous silk peach coloured dress she wore. Hope, Valerie and Artemis were each wearing dresses made of the same material and colour but each dress was in a different style while the little girls wore puffy peach coloured dresses that looked so cute on them.
"Are you ready?" Andrew asked me as he beamed proudly.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I smiled back.
"Your father would have been so proud of you, Sabrina," He said, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "And so would your mother."
"I hope so," I said with a sad smile.
One by one the little girls walked down the aisle sprinkling rose petals along the way before Ivy, Hope, Valery and Artemis stepped out. And then it was finally my turn.
I had to catch my breath when I laid eyes on my husband to be who stood waiting for me at the altar with Hayden next to him as his best man and Ben, Scott and Apollo as his groomsmen.
Oliver looked so incredibly handsome in a black three piece Armani suit as he stood waiting for me. His eyes never left mine as I walked down the aisle until he turned his head to the side to brush away his tears which made me want to cry in pure joy.
