Epilogue-
Her cheeks blushed, Her heart was beating fast and she was starting to sweat. She didn't know what to say. I mean she did know what to say, but she couldn't say no because she was expected to say yes. She looked around the room and everything and everyone was blurry, she was starting to have a vision of what her life would be if she accepted the proposal. It would be so unhappy and gloomy. Her supposive partner would cheat and her life would be miserable. Plus she was too young, getting married at 20, NO WAY IN HELL. But she had too, and it was also neccesary. If she didn't her parents would stop supporting her and would live her on her own and for sure He wouldn't help her either.
So she nodded in agreement and her heart sank down her chest. He was so happy that he jumped up and lifted her into the air, almost throwing her. She forced a smiled and he put the ring on her finger. She have to say though, it was be.au.ti.ful! The diamond sparked very brightly twinkling under the dim lights of the apartment. The white gold was incredibly shiny and she could see her own reflection. They talked for a while and afterwards, he had to leave and they said their goodbyes with a light kiss. She really really loved him but she wasn't ready yet to commit. He was a great guy and all but it just wasn't meant to be.
She closed the door behind him and slowly slid down the wall. Her hands held her face and she began to shed tears. She couldn't resist them and so she let them all out of her eyes for a couple of hours until her eyes were dryed up. She got up from where she had been the past couple of hours and she went to the kitchen. The only thing that could calm her was a cup of tea. She took out her favorite mug and lightly tugged on the string of the tea. It was a habit of hers doing that. She would also slowly move it around the mug until it was completely brewed.
After sipping her tea lightly, she began to feel drowsy and so she left the tea on the wooden table and headed for her room. She put on her pyjama shorts and tank top and undid the comforter of her bed. She slid inside softly and closed her eyes. She was again thinking about what had happened during the afternoon and she began to tear up. Her eyes were puffy again and her head was throbbing. She let out a small whimper and slowly drifted into sleep.
