Best friends

Chapter 4

We make it to my house after an eventful car ride. We all end up in my living room watching movies. I was sat on in the middle of the couch and again Tom and Jacob were sat next to me.
I started to get and eventually I fell asleep. As I drifted off, I felt someone grab me lightly and lean me on them with my head on their shoulder. I was too tired to be bothered who it was. After a while I woke up laying on someone's chest. I looked up to see who it was and it was Jacob. I felt heat rise to my face as I sat up, "I'm sorry, how long was I asleep?" I asked him. "Half an hour, maybe longer and don't be sorry, I thought it was cute." He said laughing. I laughed too. I looked to the other side of me to see Tom, with a straight face, staring right at the tv. He seemed off. I had told myself that I would talk to him later that day, just so I didn't draw attention to the fact that he seemed sad. Then Noah said, " I'm bored, why don't we do something else?" I nodded my head agreeing that I was also bored. "Ok but what?" Daniel said. "Why don't we play cards agains humanity?" I said. "Yeah, I've played before it's really funny" Jacob said, agreeing with me. Everyone nodded so I got up and went upstairs to find it. I grabbed it and walked out of my room. As I walked out,  Tom was walking up the stairs so I waited for him to get to the top. I was going to ask him what was wrong. When he reached me, I grabbed his wrist. "Hey are you okay, you seem sad?" I asked, still holding his wrist. "Yeah I'm ok, I'm just tired and when I'm tired I get sad and moody sometimes" he said looking down. I knew he was lying but I let it slide. "Oh ok, if you need to talk I'm always here." I said, pulling him into a hug. He hugged me back tightly. I let go ask smiled at him before walking downstairs. We waited for Tom to come back before starting the game

Time skip

We played for two hours and Jacob won which took everyone by surprise because we thought he was innocent (apart from swearing ALL THE TIME). Then we decided that we would have a big sleepover and we would sleep downstairs in the living room. We began to set up our beds and mine was in between Jacob and Tom. Surprise surprise. I purposefully went next to Tom because I wanted to look out for him and being next to Jacob happened by chance. We all began to slowly fall asleep. I was about to close my eyes when Tom rolled over to face me,"y/n" he whispered. "Mmm" I hummed. "Thank you for being here" he said before putting his hand on mine. I just smiled at him before going to sleep.
