(Brian's POV)

RRIIINNNNGGG!!! I jumped out of my seat, almost knocking all of my books off the desk. I instantly towered above everyone, being 6' 2" and all. As I walked down the hallway, my clogs echoing down the hallway, I noticed Roger waiting for me. He was looking unusually agitated and he had a purple bruise forming on his right cheek.

"What happened to you?" I rushed over to him.

"Hello to you too." He replied, shrugging his shoulders as he started walking out of the gates.

"No seriously, what happened? You look down."

We carried on walking through the neighbourhood while Roger explained to me what had happened.

"So she screams in my face, and slaps me! I don't know what to do. So I just walked out!" He put is arms up in protest, then let them hang loosely by his side.

I thought for a moment, then blurted out, "So you're gay?" I had spent long nights wishing that Roger had somehow feelings for me, that in my wildest dreams he would love me. And now I had a chance. But he would never like me. Not in a million years.

"Bri, there's something I need to tell you," He took a deep breath and took my hand. He lead me to a wall and motioned for me to sit, "Ever since I met you, I've been the happiest I've ever been. I mean, it's not easy for me happy. But you make me feel so good about myself in a way that no one else ever has. You care about me and make me feel better when I'm down. And for the past week, I can't imagine anything better than spending time with you."

He looked down at his shoes which I now realised were pink converse that was covered with glitter, "What I'm trying to say is- is," he paused.

"I love you."

"W-what?" I stuttered. Never in my dreams would I think Roger would like me back, "Is this a joke?"

"THE HELL BRIAN! SO ALL THIS TIME YOU DIDN'T CARE ONE BIT ABOUT ME! HOW COULD YOU!" Roger exploded. For someone so small, he can shout

My heart broke. I felt sick. He wasn't lying. I looked into his glassy blue eyes which were full of tears. Painful tears, which I had caused.

"Do y'know what, f-forget it. I-I'll just go home." He brushed past me and started to walk down the street, never looking back.

I couldn't end it like this, "Roger wait!" I called as I caught up with him.

He turned a scornful face towards me, his arms crossed. I rushed forward, held his head, my fingers running through his golden hair. I leaned in, my clammy fingers grasping his soft hair, my shaky breath x100 louder in my head. I could feel my heart thumping in my chest. His warm breath filled my face. His cheeks were soft and I could swim in his ocean eyes. And when I kissed him I felt as though the world came to a stop.

I was in a world of my own.

"I love you too," I mumbled.
