[2 years ago]"Felicity get down here!" I heard my mother yelling out at me as she threw a glass bottle to the wall in annoyance.
I was 18 at the time, days before I had left her and this so called home behind.
I looked down at her from the stairs with a bored expression plastered on my face.
"You ungrateful child! I've given you everything you ever wanted and this is how you repay me!"
"...pfft me ungrateful....how funny..." I said looking away from her and having a smirk across my face, yet I still looked as if I never cared.
"You refused the proposal to a wealthy man! We could've lived a better life and may I wouldn't be so miserable here!" She yelled out as she smashed a vase to the ground.
She was right, ever since father had passed away she's become nothing but a miserable women. Her family was someone who'd always place her in second, no matter how hard she tried to be better. They'd neglect her and just focused on their son who, was first in their heart.
I later came to learn how she'd only came to marry my father, not just for love but the fact of how popular he was with his skills, something her parents saw as 'good'. She only married him out of desperation....
"I don't love the man...." I said glaring at her.
"You didn't need too!"
"...just like you and dad....." I said annoyed.
Was their marriage always just one sided. Was having me only a way for her to just use me for my talents. Was I ever even loved by her....or was I just a waste of time in her life to get back at her parents....
"DON'T SPEAK TO YOUR MOTHER THAT WAY!" she yelled out and threw a glass bottle towards me, but luckily it having only landed next to me.
" well you aren't one..." I mumbled.
She was only controlling to me, having even almost forced to accept a proposal from a man who'd I never even knew. Before I knew it, I had my knee to his crouch as he tried to play his moves and force me to sleep with me. Having only been a f*uck boy, I was surprised that he'd only liked me for my looks, nothing else....
"Do you think you'll find someone who will love you!? People are only going to use you sweety, that's how life is!" She yelled but I had quickly ran up to my room before locking the door and sliding down it while placing my hands on my ears.
"Stop it....stop it...s-stop..i—" I broke into tears from her words.
Who would even love a broken girl, I was only a failure in her eyes....

[Present day]
"....Nellie why are you here..." I said looking at a girl with long brownish red hair and a pair of blue eyes, having a pair of antlers as she was from my mother's side of the family.
"My my can't I see my lovely cousin once in a while." She said smirking.
I narrowed my eyes to her before crossing my arms.
"You have a reason to be here so just spill already."
Her smirk turned into a frown before she sighed.
"You really are no fun cousin but alright I guess." She sighed. "I have some news you'd like to hear, but let's go get some ice cream first!" She said.
