"wake up" it was 6:43am and Yuri was no where to be found. you usually like to get to class at least 30 mins early. however Madame Baranovskaya's words rang in your ears. you weren't about to get penalized for a brat that wouldn't go to class.

"gah!" Yuri screeched as the water you splashed on his face trickled down his neck. "what the hell?"

"we're going to be late"

"there's still 20 minutes"

"17 actually"

"same difference"

"no it's not the same difference. there's 3 extra minutes in there that could've been used for stretching, prepping, or practicing. 3 whole minutes! 4 now actually!"

"yeah whatever," Yuri mumbled as he picked himself off the chair he was sleeping in. he began to walk to class.

"wrong way!" you called out.

"I knew that," Yuri grumbled as he took your correction.

"you forgot your bag!"

"I knew that" Yuri came back and took the bag you had outstretched. "thanks," he grumbled.

"happy to help," you smiled.

the music ended as you struck your final pose completely out of breath. the other students clapped.

"that's all for today dancers, you may take your mid day break now. be back by 2pm."

students rushed out of the studio making plans for lunch. you took your time packing up, as usual. you slowly noticed someone's presence next to you.

"Yuri, did you need something?"

"yeah, you said you would help me with the meal plan and shopping?"

"yeah just give me a sec I'll be right out." 'goodbye my safe place.' you exited the door catching it as it almost fell since Yuri casually forgot to hold it open for you. "thanks for that," you muttered.

"most students head to this shopping center in between classes since it's right across the street. there's a cute café over there and a few return ya but we'll focus on the grocery store for now."

you and Yuri roamed the aisles as you threw things from the shelf into the basket the poor boy was carrying. you noticed him struggling and thought about taking the basket from him but you realized if he was struggling this hard with a grocery basket there was no way he could b strong enough to partner in ballet. so you let him carry it to build muscle (and you may or may not have added a few extra things.) finally you reached the check out and as you were grabbing your wallet out of your back pack Yuri stuck a credit card in the payment thingy.

"Um, thanks." you said sheepishly.

Yuri simply grunted and shoved the card back in his jacket pocket. 'what a gentleman" you thought sarcastically while rolling your eyes. you and Yuri grabbed the grocery bags and headed back to the dorms. you still had a little over an hour before your next class. well, it wasn't really a class, every saturday at 2pm, following the midday break, the studio hosted a meeting where they basically tell each dancer their personal goals for the week, what they have to work on, and upcoming events. it was usually a snooze fest for you since your goal was usually there same. you were light years ahead of the other dancers your age so there wasn't much to work on technique wise. your goal usually has to do with bonding with the other dancers, or making friends, or something stupid like that. but who needs friends?? you didn't want to be friends with anyone who wasn't as serious about ballet as you since they'd ultimately drag you down. however the older dancers were threatened by your talent and didn't have any interest in befriending the competition.

you sighed. you didn't notice but yuri gave you a side glance, hidden by his hood so you didn't see, just to make sure you were okay. you were helping him after all and it's not like he wasn't grateful he just wasn't used to relying on anyone else for help, besides coaches of course. but coaches make promises they don't keep and they're paid to be around him. if you weren't assigned to yuri he doubts you'd spend time with him at all. he can only assume you were sighing out of frustration of being forced to be around him. yuri tugged his cheetah print jacket a little tighter around himself.
