Chapter Four

-Prom Night-

Matt's POV

I was gonna pick up Daelian tonight for prom, I put on my black suit and gold tie. My dad let me borrow his car. I drove to Daelian's house and knocked on the door, her dad answered the door. "Hi Mr. Hunter." I said shaking his hand. "You must be Matt, Daelian is upstairs. Come inside." He said. I walked in and waited for Daelian. She came downstairs and she looked beautiful, she had the black dress, her black vans and her hair was put to the side. "You look.. beautiful" I said. "Thanks, you look good yourself" she said smiling. We said goodbye to her parents and went to prom. When we arrived we got some drinks, then danced a little. A slow song came on, "Do you wanna dance?". "I don't really know how to dance..." She said looking down. "I'll teach you". I teached her how to dance, then we went to take a break. We went outside, "Daelian.. I need to tell you something.." I said nervously. "Sure, what is it?" She asked. "I like...-" . We were cut off by Jason, the popular jock guy asking Daelian if she wanted to dance. "Is it okay, Matt?" . "Yeah.." I said kinda mad. I watched them dance a bit uhh until she came over to me. "Sorry, I didn't let you finish what you wanted to say". "Uhh.. Never mind.." I said sort of jealous and mad. "Are you sure?" I nodded. And with that we went home.

Daelian's POV

I felt Matt wasn't telling me something but I didn't want to push him into saying it. We went home and Matt decided to stay over. Matt fell asleep pretty quick, so I took a shower and changed into a blue cookie monster shirt that said 'Me love cookies', and some grey sweats. I slept uncomfortably thinking about what Matt wanted to tell me. I could kinda tell he was a bit jealous of me dancing with Jason, but he said it was alright. I think he was lying, I fell asleep eventually. I woke up and checked the time 10:15 A.M. wow.. I ran downstairs still in my pajamas to see Matt in the kitchen on his phone. He looked at me "Morning sleepy head" he said and we both laughed. "I couldn't sleep, there was a lot on my mind" I replied yawning, "Are you okay?" Matt asked sounding the worried. "Yeah, I'm fine" I lied. I ate a piece of toast and went upstairs to brush my teeth. I changed into my 'You mad bro?' Shirt, my black vans and my high waisted shorts. I put my hair in a messy bun and ran downstairs. "Do you wanna go long boarding?" I asked jumping onto his back. "Sure" he said as we grabbed our long boards. We long boarded to the park and just hung out there for a bit.
