Prelude

"Come on out dearie, there's no point in hiding." The sarcastic voice of a predator rang through the forest.

The boy unlucky enough to be the prey for this predator sucked in a sharp breath trying to find any way to conceal his rapid heartbeat. Little did he know he'd already been found.

"Come on love, I'm getting dreadfully hungry and you're my last snack before I leave this town." The sickly sweet voice of the Predator spoke once more. In a sick way, she enjoyed giving the boy hope just to rip it away as she bled him dry.

A false sense of hope washed over the poor boy as the approaching footsteps stopped and her hungered breathing could no longer be heard. Looking around quickly, he saw that she was nowhere in sight and dashed into the night. It was sad really when the boy's spirits became lifted as he stared at the small house at the edge of the forest. He actually thought that he had a chance at surviving. But oh how wrong he was. Almost as quickly as the hope came it left as the boy was tossed into a nearby tree and met face to face with his hunter. Based on looks alone no one would suspect the girl of being what she was. But those unlucky enough to be caught in her trap...well they never lived to tell her secret.

"Please, let me go. I won't tell anyone about you. I promise." The boy begged as tears streamed down his face.

Pouting in fake pity the girl wiped a few of his tears away and gave him a kiss on the cheek followed by a sweet smile.

"I would love to, but as I said." The girl said as black veins appeared under her eyes "I am oh so hungry." And with she sank her teeth deep into the boy's neck and drained him dry until there was nothing left...

She dropped the boy's body lazily on the ground and sighed wiping his blood from her chin.

"Pity, he was awfully cute." She mumbled before she made her way back to her car. Once inside she looked at herself in her mirror fixing her appearance until not even a single hair was out of place. She then smiles and drove to her new destination.

New Orleans a town that had turned into a melting pot for all kinds of supernatural creatures. A town she hadn't been to in decades. And a town that was not ready for her. She wasn't just a vampire. She was an animal. An emotionless predator. She was a Ripper...

Hey Guys! So I literally had this idea for a story centered around a character that was a Ripper. If you've read any of my other TVD/TO fanfics, then you know that they focus more on the main character being a witch rather than a vampire. I wanted to make one a little more vampire focused and this awesome idea came into my head. Now, this particular story isn't going to be a top priority until I get my other stories done or further developed. But I wanted to see what you guys thought of the intro!
