Chapter 5

School was going to be hard. I stood there in front of my mirror looking at my reflection for ages. I wore a black skirt with a white crop top my strawberry blonde hair was loosely curled and I had simple makeup on, eyeshadow and some mascara with some red lipstick on my lips.

I looked fine but I didn't feel it. I was completely broken inside. My heart was shattered into a million pieces and I had no one To comfort me. I didn't know If molly was going to speak to me at school and I didn't know if Austin was going to either. I looked at the time and it was 7:30. School doesn't start until 8:45 but I had nothing better to do so I grabbed my purse along with my phone and made my way downstairs.

Mum wasn't home, which is no shocker so I figured I would just drive to school. I don't think Molly's going to pick me up anyway, otherwise she would be here by now. I grabbed my keys and walked out the door.

The first thing I did as soon as I started it up was turn on the radio. My heart shattered even more when the song "all of me." By John legend began to play very loudly. I quickly turned it off and sighed, today's going to be long.

When I walked down the hall I spotted molly at her locker. I wasn't sure weather or not to go up to her and say something so I just kept walking making sure to keep a straight face. I wasn't going to show anyone how hurt I was.

I opened up my locker and grabbed a couple of books I needed for my first class.

"How bad was that hang over?" I rolled my eyes at the voice.

"Go away Luke." I slammed my locker for more effect.

"Oh come on, no "not as bad as your face?" Or "worse than your hair?" Nothing?" He raised a brow at me.

"I'm not in the mood for your childish games today."

"Is it because you now know after 3 months that Austin's cheating on you with Jennifer also known as #3 from the volleyball team?" He smirked

I swallowed that lump that began to grow in my throat. "How'd you know?"

"Sweetheart everyone knows. He doesn't do a very good job at hiding it. Although, you did surprise me. No one thought you could be so clueless for so long." He let out a chuckle.

I rolled my eyes, "just go away Luke! Fuck! do you ever just stop!? Can you just shut the fuck up for once and leave me the hell alone!?" I went off on him. I used all the anger built up inside from Austin and threw in it Luke's face.

His eyes widen and he looked around the halls, checking if anyone heard. I'm pretty sure people did hear but they were to focus on themselves to stop and watch.

"Not bad." Luke laughed.

"What?" I scoffed.

"Okay how about this, let's ditch school today and head to mine, and I promise I'll stop, just for today thought." He was still laughing.

"Not even if you paid me." I rolled my eyes and turned around on my heel to walk away, but of course that wasn't the case. As soon as my body was fully turned away from Luke my eyes began to fill with water.

Austin and Jennifer. They weren't even standing ten feet away from me. He had his tongue shoved down her throat and pinned against one of the lockers. Luke was right, he really isn't good at hiding it. why didn't I see it before?

I quickly turned back around hoping Luke had walked away. Once again that wasn't the case. He stood there, right in front of me, leaning against the locker right next to mine with his arms crossed against his chest.

I looked at him unable to speak. My vision was going blurry due to the water filling them up and threatening to spill over.

"Can we leave now? the bells going to ring in a couple of minutes." He wasn't really asking me to ditch, he was basically telling me.
