Erityian Tribes series has finally come to an end.
As an avid crime fiction and fantasy reader, it was frustrating when I could not find a lot of speculative stories back then, hence I started writing one. Haha. I remembered how a lot of readers were surprised because I was writing a non-romantic/teenfic story, but unbeknown to most, this was actually my comfort zone. Writing about powers, magic, myths, and worldbuilding were much easier for me than realistic fiction because I get to create my own rules and laws.
This series started from an idea while I was rereading Detective Conan in 2013. How about a detective with unusual powers? I thought. Then I wrote Tantei High and their world just expanded naturally.
Looking back, it was quite bewildering how an idea about a teenage girl with a power that defies a normal person's five senses became the starting point of a much larger and complex storyline of this particular race. And because of that, it took me eight long years to put an end to this series. Haha!
It was a long, arduous journey, but fun nonetheless.
