Chapter 12

All the kids screamed when the tentacles hit the window "wheels, tell me you figured this out". Missy shrieked out

Karma looked at Missy and wheels "you know, I can help-"

"No. Wheels got it"

"Okay. . ."

"It's incredibly intuitive" wheels pushed a green button that made the ship shake and a purple field to come around it

He pushed another button making everybody scream and fly back to the windows like a magnet, the unlucky part for karma was she flew right into wild card

"Please just choose any button!" Missy said

"No! What if one of them kills us? We don't know what these buttons do". Karma told them, though Missy waved her off

"You're being a bit dramatic".

"It might be one of these" wheels pushed another button making everybody drop and sigh

"The red button!" Karma said as the tentacles hit the glass making it crack and everybody scream "press the red button!"

"What I can't hear you!" Wheels said

"The red button!" Wild card said, guppy quickly ran to the controller and hit the red button

"Why doesn't anybody listen to me". Karma groaned shaking her head

They all flew up and in an instant karma wrapped her arms around wild card for her fear of heights, she wrapped her arms right around his waist and instinctively he wrapped his arms around her

The ship turned side ways and started flying faster up into the sky

"What's wrong karma" wild card said as her grip on him tightened

"I'm afraid of heights, you should know this" she muttered in his chest, she felt his chest vibrate which means he's laughing

As the ship slowed her grip loosened a little bit she's still holding on to him

"What happened to karma?" Missy asked, looking at where karma was holding on Wild card tightly

"She's afraid of heights". Wild card told her "she has been since like, ever"

"Oh, well she can let go now, we're already here, and why's she scared of heights"

"Personal reasons". Karma grumbled out as she let go of wild card

Missy acted like she didn't hear her so wild card rolled his eyes "personal reasons" He said

"Oh, okay". Missy muttered sounding irritated at karma, turning to the rest of the junior superheroes

Wild card turned karma around "hey is that Mars?"

Karma looked at where he was pointing, seeing nothing there "no. Dude, it's nothing"

Wild card rolled his eyes and looked away and A cappella said "but, now what?"

"Don't worry" missy stated "any minute now, Ojo' gonna draw a picture of all of us smiling and hugging our parents, isn't that right, Ojo" Ojo shook her head

"Oh, that's just great" noodles looked back out the window

Hesitantly karma unwrapped her arms from wild card, wild card not wanting to let her go but took his hands off her waist so she doesn't feel uncomfortable

"Hey..." wild card said to missy "why did you choose me to share the idea of looking at Ojo's iPad?"

Oh I know why karma snorted in her thoughts smirking silently

"I don't know" missy answered "I guess I know how hard it feels when everyone expects so much from you, and you feel like you can't deliver"

"Do you believe I can?" He said

"We all believe you can"

"Tell that to my parents" he looked down

Oh poor baby karma thought damn I should really stop talking to myself, I'm the one afraid of heights, ok I'll stop

"I will, right after we rescue them" missy said

Wild card smiled and walked over to karma who was by the window watching silently as they were heading to the ship

"Nice view right" he said in the back of her crossing his arms

"Yep" she turned around and leaned against the glass "when do I ever not see you with arms not crossed?"

"I don't know, when I want to"

"Mhm" she turned back around

He raised an eyebrow at her "are you ok" then he stopped like something hit him in his brain "oh, I get it, your jealous"

Wut? Is this kid- she thought internally rolling my eyes

"Jealous of?"

"Me going near missy"

"Sweetie, if I wanted you, don't you think I would've had you" she turned back around leaning on the glass to see him a foot closer to her

He didn't say anything but when he was about to he saw from outside the window that they've landed in the mother ship "this isn't done" he pointed at her turning to leave

She shrugged and followed them out, also knowing she was right about there argument, she didn't need another conversation to tell her she's wrong, because she's not
