For the rest of the time they were at the house, Liam and Niall searched for things they might need or that could become useful later.

Which included clothes, water, food, and any thing that could become a weapon.

"Hey, check this out, Liam!" Niall yelling, taking a guitar from behind a pile of books.

They had gone upstairs to were the bedrooms were.

Liam going inside the room Niall was in.

"Maybe you could play some guitar for us when we go back to the house?" Liam said laughing

"Sure!!" Niall said excitedly

They went downstairs, guitar in Niall's hand. Liam following behind.

They went to the living room, where they had put everything they had collected.

They didn't find much.

A few cans of food, some clothes, bottled water and a guitar.

They had a lot of things to carry.

Considering Liam had a crossbow already to carry on his back and Niall already with a baseball bat.

Oh well, he wasn't going to leave the guitar behind.

Putting the things they had found in their book bags , they went to the door, when they heard a noise outside.

Uh oh trouble.

Liam went to the front window, dropping his bag by the door. And looked out the window.

He smiled.

"C'mon Niall lets go." He said happily.

Liam picked up his book bag and opened the door.

Stepping out ,with Niall behind, he saw in front of him a scruffy dog.

Wagging his tail, happy to see some real humans for the first in a while.

"Awe, it's a doggy." Niall said happily, going closer to the dog, trying to pet it.

"It looks hungry, Niall. We should give it some food."

"Yeah, here." Niall said, reaching into his pocket for a granola bar.

He opened it and broke off a piece. Feeding the scruffy dog.

"Maybe we should take him with us, Liam."

"I'm not sure if the lads would like it."

"Awe, c'mon. How much work could he be."

As if the dog knew they were talking about him, the scruffy dog ran away, going the opposite direction where the boys had come from.

"Look Liam, you scared him away."

Liam looked at him nonchalantly.

"It wasn't my fault. Maybe he didn't like your granola bar." Liam said while laughing.

"Even if we could have taken the dog, it would've been a lot of work taking care of him, Niall."

Niall looked down at his shoes, sad that the dog left.

"I just thought maybe having the dog with us would bring some normalness into our lives." He said almost whispering.

Believe me, living in a apocalypse was hard.

Living a normal life again is all they wanted.

Liam looked him. Worried.

"C'mon Niall. It's okay. We should get back to the others though. Before they start worrying."
