They had searched around a couple of houses, looking for shovels.
They were going to bury the dog.
Even though there was almost nothing to bury.
Niall had explained to Liam what had happened.
"I'm sorry." Is all Liam could say to him.
Niall didn't say anything back to him.
He felt a little traumatized.
They found a couple of shovels just a couple doors down.
They went back to the old house were the incident happened.
Going to the backyard, seeing the dead walker and dog.
Liam went towards the dog just stopping a couple feet away from it.
Niall went to him, giving him one of the shovels he was holding.
They started digging, not saying a word to each other.
Digging for at least 10 minutes they finally dug a small hole in the ground. Large enough to put the remains of the dog.
Niall stood there not knowing what to do next.
"Do you want me to do it." Liam asked, referring to having to pick up the dead dog and putting it in the hole.
"Yes." Niall said whispering almost.
And with that, Liam took his shovel, going over to the dog, and picking it up with it.
It was gruesome.
Blood covering the dog. It's side open, revealing its ribs.
Niall looked away, not wanting to see it.
Liam went to the hole in the ground, and gently placed the dog in there.
He covered it with dirt. Gently patting the top of it with the shovel.
Niall looked at the covered hole. Wanting to cry.
Even though he didn't know the dog, it still meant something to him.
"Good bye." He said
