You sigh again as you heard the fireworks go off for the 4th time since the clocks struck 12am, representing New Year, 2021.

For fucks sake, why can't they just shut the fuck up.

You leaned your head back at the edge of the couch, as you pet your cat who was flinching to the sudden and loud sounds of the fireworks, now purring and laying on your lap, sleeping calmly.

Gently carrying the soft and fluffy creature off your lap to stand up. You grabbed the coat that was beside you on the couch, and not forgetting the package that contained about 6 cigarettes.

Walking to the door, making sure that you have everything 'keys, phone, wallet aaaannndddd cigs,, okaay' you mumbled to yourself. Closing the door to your apartment and then locking it with the key that you held.

For you couldn't handle you boredom, you decided to smoke outside of your apartment complex since you obviously can't smoke inside. You would though, but only if that bitch ass landlord of yours isn't gonna lecture you every fucking time with that attitude of hers.

Placing your hands inside the pocket of your brown coat, keeping the cigarette pack and keys in the palm of your right hand and the rest in the other. As you walked down the stairs leading to the ground floor.

Finally reaching the ground floor, you walked to the auto glass door that led to the outside. Finally being out, you breath in the air, only to inhale the smoke that came from the shit ton of fireworks the people have been firing.

"Ah fuck, holy shit" you coughed out, honestly you inhale smoke every night, what's so wrong about this anyway?

You felt a pair of eyes eyeing you as you held your stomach, coughing.

Oh, right

"Suna, sup :D" you said nicely, of course he ignored you again.

Not letting your ego down, you try to start a conversation. Plus, you kinda forgot your lighter so you needed to borrow his.

"It's New Years, aren't you gonna celebrate it with your girlfriend or something?" you said jokingly, followed by a non genuine chuckle.

You gotta admit, this man is fine as hell. Who the fuck goes out looking like Satan's hot brother?

But, you always see him with this pick me girl looking ass. I mean, how could you not? He's right next door, and you always see it because most of the time you would forget to bring your keys, locking yourself out then crying because of it as they both look down on you in disgust.

She obviously doesn't deserve him. 🙄‼️

He looked at you, straight in the eyes and said "she's not my girlfriend, she's my ex." Puffing out the smoke after. You weren't able to hear him because of the noise, but you could read his mouth movements.

You were able to breathe out a syllable "Oh" shocked but pretty relieved, and he spoke too wow.

Making sure to continue the conversation and finally get the lighter, you say "oh, so uh how about family members....?"
