"What the fuck?" Malachi held up his cock ring for the others to see. The ring itself was no more than an inch in diameter, maybe even smaller. "Did you get mine mixed up with Valentino's? I don't think this will fit me."
I glanced up from the stones Brynjar had been examining, making a point to eye the ring, then his crotch. "Ah. I thought you might have a problem with the sizing I chose." I smiled sympathetically. "It's too big, isn't it? I don't mind returning it and doing a resize for you, but that was the smallest size available."
"Token, I don't even think this will fit me while I'm flaccid." Malachi found the remote, pressing random buttons until it started vibrating. He smirked and lunged for me. "Come here and we can do a proper resizing of my cock."
Brynjar pulled me into his lap, out of Malachi's reach. "You both will stay and participate during family time."
Malachi grumbled and scowled at me and Brynjar. I stuck my tongue out at him, settling into Brynjar's lap. "What are you going to make with the gems?"
He held the natural amethysts to my pale skin. The stone blended from an opaqueness to a deep purple. "How would you feel about a new bracelet, or would you prefer a necklace?"
"It's supposed to be for your hoard of treasure." His eyes always lingered on anything shiny, or worth value. I always had to drag him past my forum shops on the first floor of my hotel, or he'd linger. I was sure he'd buy out every jewelry store there, if I gave him the opportunity.
His nose dipped into my hair, followed by a soft press of his lips. "You are my greatest treasure."
My heart fluttered in my chest. Clicking my tongue, I tilted my head away from his view so he wouldn't see my stained cheeks. "Go create a bedazzled cock ring for Malachi. One that'll fit him since the stores don't sell anything smaller."
A deep inhale was enough of a warning for me to cover both my ears. Though muffled, the party horn still annoyed the crap out of me. A few more minutes of this and I'd end up with a headache and, possibly, one less mate.
Mid-honking, the noise hitched and cut off. Valentino clutched his stomach, groaning. "Son of a—Give me my party horn back, Token gave it to me."
Alistar tossed the broken party horn at Valentino, his new dagger in hand. The poor horn barely lasted a minute until it was sliced clean down the center.
"I didn't realize it was that sharp." I leaned over the table to run my finger over the metal.
"It still needs sharpening, and cleaning, but it's a good blade." He held the dagger out to me. I took the blade, testing the sharpness with my finger. "Don't cut yourself."
"I'm not going to—Shit." I pulled my finger away from the point setting the dagger down. A drop of blood rand down my finger. Quickly, I clenched my fist, hoping it'd stop the pungent scent from mixing in the air. It was foolish thinking.
Alistar stood next to me, jerking my hand up to his nose and taking a deep breath of my scent. His eyes widened with a sharp inhale. As fast as the surprise crossed his features, he collected himself, eyes narrowing on me, almost a glare. It was the most he'd ever shown his upset with me. "What have you done?"
"Nothing wrong." I would not feel an ounce of shame, not when I have done what they'd asked.
"You broke the deal." Alistar pulled me to stand and face him. Behind his calm demeanor, his blue eyes crashed in wild waves of water.
"I did no such thing." I met his stare with a fire of my own. "You told me I wasn't to hunt with you, so I didn't."
"No, you went out by yourself to hunt." Fear tinged the air. "Which is so much worse."
