Paul's leg bounced in the backseat of Matthew's Subaru as they approached the street that led to the worn down house that Noah stayed in, a family home or something like that. The anger seemed to radiate off of him, even Marshall's fingers threading through his long black couldn't calm him.

"I have never been more thankful that you're a baseball player, baby." Jane stated from the front seat, her hands wrapped around the handle of his baseball bat.

"I think this is a bad idea." Marshall muttered.

"Shut the fuck up Marshall and woman up." Maggie spat from his left side punching his arm. "I wish I knew that it was this bad."

"Quit fucking hiting me." Marshall punched her leg.

"None of us knew Mags." Jane twisted in her seat to look at her friend. "Don't beat yourself up."

"I should have known." Paul blunted spat. "I should have paid more attention. This is on me."

"It's not on any of us." Matthew interjected. "There is no one to blame other than the dickhead who we're getting ready to visit. None of you need to blame yourself."

"It's up here. On the left." Jane pointed out the windshield.

"We're not going to go too far are we?" Marshall asked as Matthew turned the car into the small gravel driveway. He put the car into park a few feet away from the black recent model Dodge Ram truck.

"Stay in car Marshall." Paul ordered as he stripped off his jacket, rolling the sleeves of his black henley up. "Jane, I need a ponytail holder."

"Here." Jane grabbed one out of the cup holder and handed back.

"I'm not staying in the car." Marshall protested as Paul pulled his long black hair into a messy bun on the top of his head.

"Give me your pocket knife."Maggie demanded as she held her hand open.

"Are you going to stab him?" Marshall questioned with a brow raised.

"No," Maggie rolled her eyes. "That would be too easy."

"And it's illegal." Marshall countered while he pulled the knife out of his pocket and handed it to her.

"Keep the car running baby." Jane leaned over to press a kiss to Matthews cheek before pressing the horn.

It was an aggressive blaring that lasted for almost thirty seconds before Paul climbed out of the car with the door slamming behind him. Maggie and Marshall climbed out of the other side, Maggie flipping the knife open and Marshall stood very tense worried about what was going to happen. Jane was twirling the bat in her hands as she approached the truck the side parked closest to the house.
