"I don't see how this would ever happen."
"Come on Red, just imagine it."
"All right, are they fighting on land or in the water?"
"Why does that matter?" Emmett stopped in tracks with his head cocked to the side.
"Because on land a shark wouldn't stand a chance, but in the water, well that could be one hell of a fight." Willow smirked as she stepped around him. Their daily routine in gym class had become a time filled with the strangest questions and scenarios while they walked laps.
"But do you agree with me? That a bear would beat a shark?" Emmett made strides to catch back up with her.
"Honestly Emmett, I have no clue." Willow shrugged, in all honesty today she did not feel like keeping up with his random antics, no matter how amusing they might be.
"You're no fun today Red." Emmett whined with his face slightly downcast. When Willow didn't respond Emmett must have noticed there was something different. "Are you alright?"
"It's the last day before Christmas break. I'm wonderful." Willow lied through her teeth with a smile that was bright enough to fool anyone. "Do you celebrate Christmas?"
"It's a delightful half/half situation in the Cullen house." Emmett's dimples added a sense of glee to the man's face as he began to explain how Rosalie, Jasper, and Esme all celebrate Hanukkah.
One living room dedicated to Hanukkah while the other was dedicated to Christmas. Willow didn't even try to comprehend the fact that the Cullen house was apparently big enough to have two living rooms.
The day seemed to flow at a rather unsteady pace, flying by one hour and draggin the next. By the time lunch arrived Willow wanted nothing more than for the day to be over. Until she spotted him, his long blond hair was free from confines today laying gracefully on his cheeks is golden waves.
Jaspers eyes were bright topaz almost as bright as the sun and his lips were pulled into a smirk. He seemed to radiate energy off of him, underneath the charm he carried there seemed to be something that made him dangerous.
Not in the way Willow found Noah to be dangerous, that was fear and agony tied to him. With Jasper the danger seemed to lie in the way he carried himself. Like he was storing secrets, dark ones with stories that could be earth shattering. The dangerous energy that seemed to radiate off him was inviting to Willow, against her better judgement.
Willow noticed he was sitting off to himself, three tables down from his family who seemed to be in a deep conversation. Willow had grown closer to Jasper since the movie night birthday, mainly in their Home Economics class, and the fact that Jasper had started to walk her from class to class. Maggie had said it was a sign of a love story coming to life.
