Elements. The strongest natural magic in all the land. Those lucky enough to be blessed with the powers were named rulers. And in the time of war, keepers of the elements were targeted. So when the Shadows swept over the land, the keepers chose to fight.
Oshi was the oldest brother and had the element of fire. Etaya, Oshi's younger brother, had the element of earth. Skylar was the oldest sister, and had the element of wind. Next was Evias who had the element of lightning. Finally, the youngest was Zya, who had the element of water.
The siblings led their people into war against the Shadow Army. After ten years of tireless battle, the Shadow Army surrendered. The land was peaceful again- but not for long.
Oshi had grown greedy overtime, and banished his siblings from the kingdom. He stole their riches and ruled the land alone. After two years under Oshi's harsh rule, Zya was hungry for revenge. She started a rebellion, but Oshi fought back. The siblings went to war with Oshi, and it ended when Zya snuck into the castle disguised as a servant, and poisoned Oshi's drink.
The siblings that were left took the kingdom back, and served as good rulers. Eventually, they all died, but the elements didn't stir in anybody. For three hundred years, the kingdom prospered without elements and it became a legend. But over this time, the Shadow Army slowly stirred as well...
