As the lockers opened and closed with the halls ringing with chatter. The group finally made it to school, but one companion was missing. "Has anyone seen Y/N?" Mike asks as 'the party' dismount their bikes. The group suddenly widen their eyes as they stop their sudden movements. They stayed in a moment of silence with a sense of confusion and worry as they freeze.

"M-Maybe he's just running late...? He's not always the morning type...R-right?" Lucas says in attempt to break the silence and worries apart. The group nods at their best of convincing themselves. A weird tension in the air that the group couldn't find out, was it because one is missing. To them, the group somehow feels empty and quiet for the first time in a long time. Last time the group was in a state like this was the time Will was gone.

Oh god, Is it that bad? What happened?

These are thoughts that are running through their minds as they walk through the halls. But the most worried person however was a sense coming from a particular redhead down the lockers. As Max shut her locker, she looked around the halls to see the man she wanted to speak to nowhere in sight. At first she thought, Y/N is probably gonna prank her or he's planning a jump scare. She looked around and saw no sense of Y/N. Sweat dripped from her forehead as anxiety started building up her core. She was planning on confessing actually today, believe it or not. Confess what? Well, ever since last night, things have been pretty strong for the two. Max has not been able to feel happiness like this in a long time when Y/N was around her. The thought of Y/N's name always brought a smile to her face

Y/N, Y/N

As she walked around the halls tugging her book, a pat on her shoulder was felt. She quickly turned around hoping it was the person she was wishing... Nope. It was Lucas. She took a deep sigh before nodding at Lucas as she turned back and made her steps to class.

~~~~~
"So you swear nothing happened to Y/N?" That was like the 100th time Lucas has asked Max this question. Max groaned in annoyance and worry at the same time.
"Yes! Yes! How many fucking times do I have to tell you! I was with him last night-"
"What did you do last night?" The Sinclair boy asked as he interrupted Max. This question made Max stay silent for a moment as she blushed. Lucas smirked at this. He knew no matter how pretty she was, Y/N was the right one. Y/N was his boy and he'd NEVER EVER take that away from him. The past few days, Lucas has done his best to make Y/N and Max happier no matter how small it was. Every time the two were together, Lucas would make a smirk appear on his face victoriously. He'd say his the captain of this ship. But these thoughts however made Lucas even more worried. IF Y/N did (possibly) die? What would Max feel. A plant of guilt grew all over his body as he started to shiver at the thought of Y/N gone and Max's reactions. His dream of making them together.. gone? Theres no way.... right? He gulped down a lump on his throat of worries as both Lucas and Max walked down the halls silently
Mr. Clarke was teaching a lesson about Phineas Cage, "one of the great medical curiosities of all time", according to him. The class was pretty silent, especially for the group. Every 5 minutes they'd look back at the room to see Y/N's seat empty next to Max. Max would do the same but every 20 seconds, worried about her best friend's presence. They were also confused on why Dustin was not yet here. Max's position was sloucher and sluggish than ever before, guilt rising up her scalp as her hands shook in fear. As the class continued, the door suddenly opened. Max sat up straighter hoping it was Y/N
Nope
Dustin's figure appeared as he panted, carrying his books and his halloween prop from last night. "I am so sorry, Mr Clarke. Really, I'm so sorry. Please continue with the class." Dustin says making sure not to disturb. Max sighed in disappointment as she slouched back down. As Dustin sat down, the group looked back to see a disturbed and fearful Max, seeing this made them feel bad for her as they knew how much he meant for her. The group looked down at the sight before slowly looking back at class as they thought about Y/N
