Few years ago Y/n left Hawkins. It was very hard for her friends for her to leave. They love her and Y/n love them too but she has to leave. Through the years Dustin, Lucas, Will and especially Mike try to cope up and adjust that Y/n will never go back in Hawkins. She promise that every Christmas she'll visit but she never did. It made Mike furious, for Y/n always bailing at them while the others understand that probably Y/n has a new life and better life in the place she moved in and she just don't want to look back on how she was abuse by her old family.
Y/n was an orphan and she moved in Hawkins ever since she was three with her foster family that used to hurt her but she never said a word then she has to move in a different state because the people who used to take care of her died and someone was willing to adopt her. While Y/n was away, a year later Mike and the party met Eleven. Mike knew that he loves Eleven but he can never deny that while he is liking Eleven he wishes it was Y/n. Several times Mike call Eleven, 'Y/n.' If ever Mike will call El as, 'Y/n,' Dustin, Lucas, Will or any one who heard that knows who Y/n and just look at him weirdly. Eleven questions if who is Y/n every time Mike call her that.
"Oh that's no one, It's another word for beautiful you know like in Italy, 'Bella means beautiful.' and like the name Princess you know," Mike said.
"Bella? Princess?" El asked cluelessly.
"Y/n is just a word, okay? It means beautiful," Mike said. While El nod and hum in agreement while the boys at the back listening to them was shaking their head.
Mike can just never deny that she always remember, Y/n and that El reminded him, how Y/n and her used to be super sweet.
Will, Dustin, Lucas would ask why Mike won't tell about Y/n and Mike said he just can't and that he just don't want to talk about Y/n. Years have passed, before El joined them Will was missing, El helped that made the friend group love her, a red headed girl became their friend, El and Mike are now 'boyfriends and girlfriends', little by little they forget about Y/n. They're used to Y/n not visiting, they're use to not saying her name. It seemed like she was replaced but in their hearts, they might not feel know but soon they know that they love Y/n with all their hearts, Y/n will always have a place.
A lot of challenges happen to the group ever since Y/n left and now that she's coming back for a mission would her friends still remember her?
