"So let me get this straight..." Andrew stood at the large door which was the Wennel City Guild. "We have to do a secret knock to gain access to this place?"
Zuri nodded. "We could go to the library, which enters the guild as well, but this is the shortcut to the rooms... Rai, would you do the honors?"
"Yes I would." The Riolu replied, kneeling down and passing a sleeping Luke over to Zuri. "Just hold him for a moment." Rai gave a wink to her friend before standing up and facing the door. She cracked her neck both ways before leaning over to the door, and placing a single, light, knock on the door.
Everyone had to wait about ten seconds, before loud clicks came behind the door, making it open without anyone physically opening it.
"Um..." Andrew paused for a few seconds before looking at the Riolu. "Wouldn't someone be able to break in easier?"
"You think someone robbing the place would knock on it once softly?" Rai tilted her head slightly. "Don't be ridiculous. Now let's get to our room. I'm exhausted."
"Rai..." The Zoura's body started shaking from the weight of Luke. "I can barely walk right now."
"Right, sorry." She kneeled down and picked Luke back up. "I forgot that he's about your weight."
"No kidding..." The Zoura started hopping along the hallway, avoiding a few Pokemon carrying something that looked like pies.
The Pikachu slowly started walking inside, wondering about the bright light ahead of them. "Do you mind me asking some questions, Rai?" Andrew turned to the Riolu for a response. "I guess it'll help me understand this place."
"Ask away, 'Drew." She replied with a smile.
"Give me a second..." Andrew blushed redder than his cheeks for a few seconds for Rai to notice. "I overheard Zuri and Luke's conversation about this place being independent, filled with its own government. Why is that?"
"Hold on a minute, is that a blush?" Rai crouched down to look at the Pikachu. "Are you blushing?"
"No!" Andrew stopped himself to cross his arms. "I'm not blushing I'm just..." A long sigh eventually came to the paused Pikachu. "Man, I suck at lying to crushes."
"Aw..." The Riolu giggled, putting a paw on Andrew's head. "You have a crush on me? That's so cute!"
"Look, I rather talk about that later than worry about it now." He looked up at the bigger paw Rai placed on his head. "So can you please answer my question?"
"Fine, later then." Rai gave him an affectionate nuzzle before standing up. "The reason why we're independent is because of the other nearby towns, that are kinda in a tyranny."
"Tyranny?" Andrew gawed confused. He stopped to look at Zuri coming in view, climbing some stairs. "Like the corrupted government tyranny? When did this even happen?"
"I don't know all the details, little one." The Riolu joked. "I try not to think about all that stuff. It just bums me out, you know?"
"I'm not little..." He mumbled out loud. "I'm fifteen years old. Is that the reason why we got taken to the Station?"
"Yeah, we gotta be careful." She smiled, crouching down to him once more. "But you'll always be little to me, okay?"
Andrew crossed his arms while pouting. "She's right... Even if we both evolve, she's still taller than me." He quickly cleared his throat while continuing to walk. "I'm also wondering, why did Loli say that the electricity would kill us? Wouldn't we just faint and revive later?"
