Third Person POV
Lucy and Emma walked around the beach, chatting happily. They didn't have to deal with snake-humans or anything then. It was January 1st, 2020, and the two girls were living a totally normal life. They stood at the shore, blissfully happy. Then all hell broke out.
There were screams from the back. Soon the hysteria spread. Lucy was only 10, and Emma 15, but Emma managed to act strong, Lucy terrified but captivated by the scene. Snakes. That was what was causing the panic. But it wasn't just a few. Thousands of snakes, crawling, biting. They avoided Lucy and Emma, luckily, but it was just as horrible. Suddenly the two girls realized that those bitten were turning into something... unnatural. They were turning into humans with snake heads. Lucy screamed, and all the snake creatures turned towards them.
And charged.
Emma dragged Lucy into the water. "God I hope that this fucking works" she muttered, pulling them farther out to sea. Lucy barely stumbled along, staring back at the creature that used to be her parents. She started crying softly. "We can't leave them Emma we can't we have to help them Emma we have to!" she muttered softly. Sadly. The creatures hissed at the waterline, not going any farther. "EMMA WE CAN'T LEAVE THEM!" She screamed, trying to wrench her arm out of Emma's grip. Emma sighed, "I know.....Lucy, I know that, but they want to kill us.....we need to stay away," she replied holding Lucy tighter. Lucy replied only by crying more.
A few hours later, the snake-humans had cleared out. Lucy clutched her mother's handbag, the only thing left of her parents. She wiped her eyes as she walked around the ravaged area. She looked around, seeing the crushed chairs and chaos. Emma stayed close to Lucy, in case the snakes came back. Emma picked up a bracelet and looked at it. "Hm.." she murmured a few things under her breath and put the bracelet on "Common Lulu.....we need to get out of here." Lucy ran her fingers over the leather of the handbag and didn't reply for several minutes, before looking up defiantly.
"What do we have to do to kill those things?"
