chapter 6: i dont wanna talk tho

parker forces the 3 of us to trudge up the hill to the big house. i started whining about how my legs were tired. heather cast glances at me as an apology while parker said when we get to the house we can sit. amir then squatted down and i look at him confused.

"i'll give you a piggyback ride." he said sheepishly. me being tired and honestly kind of wanting a piggyback ride said "of course!"

i climbed onto his back and held on as he ran. "run like the wind bullseye!" i chanted as he ran laughing up the hill. when we got there he put me down and we watched as the two stragglers behind us FINALLY made it up the hill. "yall are slow."

amir laughed, "very slow. like tortoises"  parker shot amir a look and if looks could kill amir probably would've been dead for like 10 years man.  amir stop laughing and looked back at me and we made eye contact for a little too long and started blushing. we then started rushing inside only to be met by a pair of charf. caulem looked at me with full of contempt and disgust and glared in the direction of  amir and i. "you shouldn't be hanging out with halfblood filth luna, hes good for nothing but making shit for the rest of us."

aurelie nodded along with him. "oafs like him have no place in this camp. he's just a servant to the rest of us who actually are worth the air in these walls. look at how he reeks of machinery. look at his ugly scars. he deserves nothing. only the pit of filth that all hephaestus kids lay in."

amir shrank at their words and i looked over at him my heart breaking. i only saw black as i lunged at aurelie and started punching him in the eye. "you're a sack of shit, you're nothing without your daddy. you're just daddy's little bitch" i snarled and then i feel a pain and hear a crack in my nose.

i then feel arms pull me up but before i can do anything i kick aurelie in the side and he groans. i smirk as i feel blood dripping from my nose. fucking asshole thinks he can say that about amir. my nose was gushing blood so i was heaving from my mouth. aurelie reluctantly flicking his wrist and giving me a cup of golden juice. "drink it if you wanna get better." he growled.

i look at him. "drink it first." i choke out. he shrugs drink the little in the cup. immediately his wounds are fixed, the black eye is gone and what i assume so is the bruise on his side. i take a sip and immediately the blood rushing stopped. i was surprised. shit the must've laced molly or sum in the shrooms. amir looked at me, tears pricking his eyes.

"i'm so sorry..im so so sorry.." he kept whispering and i hugged him. "hey don't apologize for being you." he tucked his head into the crook of my neck as i rubbed his back. it was kind of an awkward position seeing i was basically in his lap. i figured fuck it and crawled into his lap to give him a better hug. i whispered encouraging words into his ear while patting his back. after he stopped crying, he gave me a lopsided smile as light pink dusted over his kind of colored cheeks

i got off him and threw dirty looks at caulem and aurelie as parker awkwardly stood between the group. "we have to discuss the prophecy." he said, "we also have to discuss how we will go about everything." 

payton stepped up with a map of the world. shit was large. 

"the half bloods will trek through fire, blood and snow

to get where they have to go." she repeated the begin. "this would be we probably have to go to places that are considered sunny and warm and associated with the gods." as she was speaking i noticed caulem give amir a dirty look so i sat right back in his lap. while i was glaring at him, amir wrapped his hands around my waist. his head was placed in the crook of my neck as he continued looking at the map. "i was thinking we travel to las vegas and maybe we can find something there, i mean it is shiny." 

"i'm not sure about the blood part but i suppose after las vegas we go to alaska because it's cold and maybe we can find something there." she continued. "we'll figure out the rest as time goes along." 

i nodded along but i found this boring. amir's breath was tickling my neck and i felt shivers go up my back. i gulped slowly as parker called the meeting to a close. i got up shakily from amir's lap and was the first to slip out of the big house into the night air. i looked up at the stars. they were really pretty tonight. i walked back into the aphrodite cabin and crawled into my bed. i was scrolling on my phone. parker came up shortly after and smiled at me. "it was really nice of you to stand up for amir." 

i laughed and looked back at my phone. "i don't like bullying, been there, did that, hated it and i just would rather no one else go through that. amir is a sweetheart, he doesn't deserve the bullying."

after the conversation, i decided to pack my bags. i packed all my clothes and electronics and my minecraft cow and pooh bear.

after that i fell asleep, i was actually excited for the quest shit.
