School was same old, same old. You get lost, told off for being late blah blah blah. I hate the attention you get when you walk into class though and when people stare. Ugh even the slightest thought about school makes me want to blow my brains out.
I was walking back home now, just wanting to lay in bed and drift off to sleep, but that isn't always the case.
I step on to the footpath that leads to my door and open it with ease and step inside shutting the door. The house seems quiet. That is until I hear a loud clunk.
I move towards where the sound came from and find my dad in the kitchen loading up his riffles.
"Is that really necessary on the kitchen counter?"
Dad ignores the question and continues with what ever the hell he's doing. I walk to the fridge to get something to eat considering I haven't eaten much all day today.
"There's something going down about an hour or two away. Someone's body was found with claws ripped right into the guys chest. Sounds like a job I need to take care of." Dad mentioned to me, well looks like I'm going to be alone.
"When are you leaving?"
"Later tonight. The quicker i leave the better chance of no one else dying."
I nod my head in agreement. I love how my dad loves to help people, he truly cares about people he doesn't even know. He has a warm heart.
"Are you going to be alright without me here." concern was filled in his voice.
"Dad the amount of times I have done this, I'm sure I'll be fine."
"Well sorry for being able to check up on you, anyway go do your homework or something I need to finish these off before I leave." he gives me a quick hug and goes back to finishing off what he was doing.

At about 7:30 my dad had left for his job and I was left with the sounds of gushing wind blown against the house and the sound of deep silence.
The radio in my room was playing faintly as I was reading, my attention fully captivated by the book. It was times like this that I really enjoyed being alone. It was always quite peaceful to have some alone time.
The sound of the radio fuzzing up brought me out of my thoughts. I smacked the thing a few times which therefore made it shut off completely, I sigh in frustration, stupid old radio.
The sound of trees smacking against my window and the loud howls of the wind were the only things heard in my now quiet room.
I switch off my lamp and went under my sheets, wanting sleep to take over me. I always wonder what my dad is like when his on the road to kill those evil son of a bitches. I reckon it would be awesome, something like the living dead or supernatural, yep definitely the last one.
As my eyes become droopy until I hear a sound, a really irritating sound. I shake any thought out of my head and continue to try to fall asleep, that is until I hear the same noise again.
I sit up on my bed waiting for it to happen again. Silence filled the room still hearing the ridiculous weather outside. I start to believe it's nothing when it strikes again, like nails on a chalkboard
Screeecchhhh.
My eyes widen a little as the noise comes from across my bed. I squint my eyes, trying to see if I could possibly see anything but it was to dark.
Screeecchhh!
The vibrant noise brought shivers down my spine and made me tug at my ears. I turn to the direction of the sound and find I'm looking straight at my closet. I gulp loudly and fling my sheets off me and standing up. My steps are slow and steady as they drag my body towards my closet.
I'm standing right in front of the door waiting for my body to make a move. My hand instantly goes to the door nob but is met by the piercing sound
Screeeeeecchh.
I closed my eyes and swung the door open, hearing a loud bang as the door smacked into the wall. I peek one eye open seeing nothing and open the other. I give a puzzled look and move my eyes closer, seeing if theres any signs but nothing. I take one last glance before shutting the door until something catches my eye.
On the inside of the closet door were deep claw marks scattered right down the middle of it. The wood was chipped and now that I look at it, there were specks of wood on the floor. I rake my brain for anything that could have possibly caused this. I'm left with an empty mind, shutting the door and trudging back to my bed.
The last thing I remember before I fall asleep was the sound of the claw marks, digging into my head.
