The school bell fills my ears as I try finding my way to class, this stupid school has to many hallways. I'm pretty sure I'm lost and I'm already late might as well just give up.

I turn a corner into another hallway to smack right into something hard, or maybe soft. I look up to be met with warm chocolate brown eyes.

"Sorry love, I was late to class. Are you alright?"

He was kind of cute. His hair was styled in a short quiff and he had a little stubble growing on his face. He looked around average height and he looked incredibly muscular. It took me a while to realise I hadn't answered his question.

"Oh-um yeah I'm fine, just a little lost." I shrug to myself.

"You must be new I've never seen you around before." He gave a warm smile.

"I just transferred here." I stated plainly. God I'm shit at making conversation.

"Well in that case let me give you a hand. Can I see you schedule?" His voice was so warm and welcoming it was incredibly cute.

I hand him my sheet of paper and watch as he goes over what's written on it. Why am I giving it to him so willingly? I'm never like this to people and something doesn't feel right.

"Hey your in my maths class with me this morning it's just around the corner, come on." he puts out a hand for me to take which i look at hesitantly.

"Oh by the way, I'm Liam."

"Hannah." I give him a small smile and give in by taking his hand.

"That's a lovely name." He smiles warmly back and we head to our class.

"So how come you moved to London?" Liam asked as we were taking a seat at a table in the cafeteria.

"Me and my dad sort of move around a lot for his work."

"oh cool. What places have you been to?" He was so fascinated with this information I was giving him, it brought a small smile to my face.

I've never really been the type to open up to people so willingly, trust issues have always been a big thing to me, but with Liam I feel like he actually cares.

"Well we've practically been all around England and maybe a few other states outside of it."

"Wow that's awesome, I've always wanted to travel." Liam stated.

Liam and I talked a fair bit in maths getting to know each other a little bit more and I think I actually consider this guy as being one of my friends in many years. He had such a warm heart, he sort of reminded me of my dad in a way.

School ended rather quickly. The last two session flew fast and before I knew it I was unlocking my front door to my house. I step inside and lock the door before making my way to my room.

For the past few hours Liam and I have been texting like no tomorrow. It felt good to have someone to talk to other than your conscious. Maybe I should have considered friends a while back but I never had the time, I would end up leaving them eventually so what was the point.

After a very long conversation I finally bid him goodnight, shutting my phone and climbed into bed. I lay on my side, resting my head on my pillow and watch the rain drip down the window, like a race. The sound of rain always soothed me for some unknown reason, it always put me at ease. The sound of drops hitting against the roof in a rhythm made it sound like a lullaby. It was the only lullaby I ever receive anymore anyways.

My eyes started dropping ever so slightly, blinking every now and then just to watch the rain fall one last time.

My eyes were surely going to drop now so I take one last glance at my window and change my position in bed looking into the corner of my room to have been met by blazing green eyes staring into mine.
