Chishiya. This one name is everything inside your mind right now. He is here, close to you, watching you with those brown eyes. But this time, they aren't cold and condescending. This time, they're smiling at you with warmth in them – and something that could even be considered love.

The brows of his are raised just so slightly, as if he still wants to mock you even in this situation, and a smile flickers over his face.

"You are beautiful, do you know that?" You hear your own voice, tense with anticipation and shivering a bit.

Chishiya scoffs and raises one eyebrow even higher. "Sure, I do."

He tucks a strand of blonde dyed hair behind his ear and comes even closer to your face. Close enough so you can see the delicate trace of eyeliner he seems to put on every single morning, but weirdly enough, it suits him.

His hand reaches for your cheek, cupping it in its warmth and you can feel his finger gently caressing your skin. Your nose is filled with his scent – no perfume, just his own decent smell mixed with only a hint of sweat.

You have longed for this situation for so long, have ached for the touch of his hands with every beat of your heart. And now that you're here, you almost can't believe that it is happening. It feels too good to be real, but you're enjoying every bit of it. Even though no matter what happens, he won't stop to mock you and show how superior he feels.

"Arrogant bastard." You try to tease him, but you know very well that words can't affect a man like him.

"You forgot smart and handsome."

As an answer, he gets a soft punch into his chest from you, and the smile he gives you makes you giggle.

"Sure, all of it. Whatever you want. I don't care as long as you're here."

His eyes lock with yours, and your heart skips a beat. And you almost can't believe when he comes even closer to you, until the space between the tips of your noses is not wider than a piece of paper.

The warmth of his skin and his breath on your lips is all you can feel, and you want nothing more but to feel those lips on yours. You want this kiss so badly, want it to never end again. You close your eyes, longing for what's next to come. The grip of his fingers on your cheeks tightens and you inhale deeply, both your mouths slightly open.

You can almost feel the touch of his soft lips on yours, and then – you wake up.

The room is dark, and you're alone. Chishiya isn't there, only your heart is racing like crazy and you're gasping for air.

Of course it was all a dream.

There is no way this could actually happen, but it has felt so real... When you close your eyes, you can still feel the warmth of his lips and the touch of his hands. It had been so wonderful, and the truth that it will never really happen hurts even more.

You want to go back to sleep, want to return to this wonderful place together with Chishiya. You want to continue where it had stopped, want that kiss to finally happen. But it's impossible to sleep again, as you're way too overexcited from that dream. And the sky is already turning red, so you can get up and eat something as well.

The breakfast room is still almost empty, because most of the people at the Beach like to sleep long after partying all night, but one person is already there: the one face you wanted to see so badly and at the same don't want to see at all right now.

Chishiya is standing at the counter and chooses what he wants for breakfast, and your heartbeat increases drastically. The memory of your dream won't leave your head, and you can't stop imagining how he would turn around just now, smile at you and then give you the kiss that has been promised in your dream.

But Chishiya doesn't even twitch a finger as you enter the room. He simply continues to fill his plate, and you wonder if he will eat it here or take it up to his room, as you haven't seen him eating together with the others so far.

He wears a white hoodie as always, the hood drawn deep into his face so only some strands of blonde hair are visible, and from the feint sound of music you conclude that he's listening to something with his iPod. Blue and white bathers reveal his trained legs, and like back in the sauna it's hard to take your eyes off him.

"Good... good morning," you say, voice slightly cracking.

Chishiya lifts his head, probably surprised that someone is talking to him so early in the morning, and takes out one of the ear buds.

"Oh. Morning." He replies, and those eyes facing you now have nothing to do with the warm and loving orbs from your dream. They're cold as always, condescending even though Chishiya is smaller than most other men in the Beach.

"How comes you are up so early?" Giving him a soft smile, you begin to fill your plate with breakfast too. The choice could never be compared to a real hotel, but it's free and you don't have to roam stores all around Tokyo to get it.

Chishiya shrugs while he puts some egg onto his plate, and you can't help but wonder where the Beach gets fresh eggs from. You haven't seen any chicken near the hotel, but the Beach still seems to get access to everything. "I prefer to be prepared for the day."

"Yeah... that suits you." Somehow, your face reddens as those words leave your mouth, but you're not wrong. You assume he simply prefers to be alone, just like in the sauna some nights before. Although he didn't seem to mind your presence back then, and right now you don't get the impression that he is bothered too much either.

To hide your reddened face, you busy yourself with choosing from the counter, but a chuckle coming from Chishiya tells you he's already fully aware. "Is that so?"

You nod without lifting your face, and you wish you could talk to him for some hours more. After admiring him from the distance for so long, you're finally starting to really get in contact with this man. And despite you making a fool out of yourself now and then, it still feels good to be next to him. To just share a couple of words with him.

"You seem to be the more observing kind of person. I'd have seen you at the parties once in a while if you liked to be the centre of attention."

He doesn't reply anything, but the smirk on his face causes warmth to spread inside your chest. He turns around, and you can see that he is done filling his plate now, despite you not wanting him to leave yet.

"Chishiya... would you want to share a table for breakfast this morning? I'd enjoy someone to talk to."

It costs a lot of courage to say those words, and Chishiya turns around midway through leaving. While you shouldn't have been surprised that he shakes his head, it still causes your heart to ache a little.

He locks eyes with you again, one heartbeat too long to just be casual. His brows furrow just a tiny bit while he seems to read your complete soul with this one look only, and you can't do anything against it. You don't want to do anything against it.

"As you already figured out, I'm not in a mood for small talk today. Sorry."

And then, he's gone. The only thing you hear is footsteps quickly disappearing, together with pieces of your heart shattering from crushed hopes. Again.
