Dante wasn't the most popular guy in school, he didn't fit in with the jocks, the nerds, the hippies or the dropouts, he was very much his own person but the biggest barrier in him establishing any formal relationship's with anyone besides Rose and George was his temperament; everyone was scared of him, there was not a single person that didn't know the potential that he had to thump someone into pieces if they crossed him in any way and they did whatever they could to avoid that.
One thing was for sure, guys knew Rose was out of bounds and they made sure it stayed that way, no matter how much her beauty tantalised them, it was not worth the pain and anguish that came with it, so they steered clear.
There was someone however who was not going to let Lucifer's disposition get in the way and that was David; David was exceptionally handsome in a prince charming kind of way , top of his class, sporty, school councillor and was genuinely charming . David never took no for an answer was not scared of Lucifer at all ; he was determined to take Rose to Prom this year and nothing would get in his way.
"Hey Rose, good to see that you were on time at least you wont be in detention!" David uttered
"I know right, Im so done with that now" Rose sighed with a smile on her face, her face lighting up the room as she did so.
" I was wondering, if your free, if you could join me for lunch today, I really wanted to run this project by you, im trying to raise money for Orphans in Syria and really want the whole school to take part." David asked, glancing into Rose's wide eyes.
This is what Rose loved about David, his genuine compassion for mankind, his altruism , his philanthropy and wished she could be more like him, his locks of blonde helped too but she cleared that thought out of her head quickly.
"of course, I would love too, Lucifer's catching up with his h/w anyway so that should be fine"
David's smile fell flat, everything had to come back to HIM and it annoyed the living day lights out of him but he would remove him from her head sooner or later. After all, he would always get what he wanted, all that was required was hard work.
