Chapter 9
I thought that day would be the bestest day of my life and it turned out it was the worst day of his life.
"Tita okay na po ba sya ? Any news from the doctor?"
He never told me... no one told me about his cancer.
"No update yet. Nasa loob pa din si jeremiah" -tita daye (mommy ni jer-jer)
"Ano pong ngayari. Okay pa naman po sya nung nakaraang araw. Pero kahapon po i kept on calling him and texting him but i didn't get any response from him."
"H-he was suffering right then, he was in his room the whole day. Ni hindi daw nya gumawang lumabas. So we got worried so we rushed home and then we just saw him lying on the floor with bloods on his shirt"
Tita started crying, hindi ko na din napigilan ang sarili ko at napaiyak na din ako.
It hurts. It hurts alot. The only person who made me fall inlove everyday is now fighting for his life inside the ICU and damn it i can't do anything.
Mababaliw siguro ako kapag nawala sya sakin. Hinding hindi ko kakayanin. Panginoon tulungan nyo po ako. Tulungan nyo po si jeremiah, wag na wag nyo po syang papabayaan.
~after 9hrs waiting~
"Doc. Doc ano na pong balita sa anak ko okay na po ba sya?"
Napatayo kaming lahat sa pag labas ng doctor mula sa ICU
"He's now in a stable condition Mrs. Salazar everything we can hope now is for him to fight and for him to absorb the medicines. Excuse me everyone"
"Doc. Wait po doc"
"Yes miss"
"Pwede po bang bisitahin na sa loob ang pasyente" hindi ko kakayanin lalo kung hindi ko makikita si piggy ngayon.
"Pwede naman miss. Pero ipapalipat muna namin sya sa isang private room. Sige miss una nako, excuse me"
Dumaan muna ko sa hospital chapel bago ako pumunta sa kwarto nya.
Seeing him lying there makes my heart sink. The person that I love the most is lying there helpless.
"Piggy." Umupo ako sa upuan sa tabi ng kama nya. Damn this tears please stop falling.
"Piggy bakit nilihim mo sakin to? Feeling mo ba ang pogi mo sa dahil nagawa mong ilihim sakin to. Pwes hindi! Kainis ka din eh. Alam mo naman palang may sakit ka pero patuloy mong pinapagod yung sarili mo dahil sakin."
I held his cold and pale hands.
"Pero alam mo piggy kahit na nilihim mo sakin lahat to mahal na mahal pa din kita. Mahal na mahal na mahal kita kaya please lumaban ka ha? May promise kapa sakin na eternity kaya hindi mo ko pwede iwana ha." Damn this tears please just for now please stop falling.
Bibitaw na sana ko dahil time na daw pero biglang hinawakan ng mahigpit ni jer-jer yung kamay ko.
"H-hubby. W-wait tatawagin ko lang yung nurs~"
Umiling sya at idinilat nya ang mga mata nya.
"Hello there my wifey" saad nya with his sweetest smile.
"Hello there hubby. Tatawagin ko lang yung doctor please ?"
"Don't please just be here with me?"
Tumango na lang ako at umupo ulit sa tabi nya. Pero just incase pinindot ko na din yung para sa pag tawag sa nurse.
"Wifey~" hinalikan nya yung kamay ko. "Lagi mong tatandaan ha. Mahal na mahal kita hanggang sa kabilang mundo hanggang sa makamtan natin ang eternity."
Hindi ko magawang i process sa utak ko lahat ng sinasabi nya. Is this a sign of him saying good bye. "Hubby ano ba yang sinasabi mo. Eh diba sabay pa tayong ggraduate tapos ikaw ang mag tutuloy ng company nyo at company namin tapos mag papakasal pa tayo tapos mag kaka anak pa tayo ng madami."
"I know wifey but i would like you to know how much you really mean to me and how much i love you and i~"
"My son finally you're awake." Biglang pumasok si tita daye habang umiiyak.
"I think you need to go home wifey. You should rest" he said with his weakest smile. "let's talk again tomorrow wifey. I love you"
Tumango na lang ako at ngumiti. "I'll be back tomorrow morning okay? I love you more hubby please fight okay?"
"I will wifey i will" he smiled.
"Una na po ako tita daye. Babalik na lang po ako bukas ng umaga" nakipag beso beso na ko kay tita daye at humarap na ulit ako kay jeremiah.
"See you tomorrow hubby" i kissed him in his cheeks. "Bye tita"
"Bye hubby" saying good bye make my tummy swirl.
"Don't say goodbye wifey. Say Hello cause tomorrow is going to be a new day" he smiled.
"Hello see you tomorrow okay?" Weird man pero okay na din.
"Hello wifey i love you"
And then i went out side his room and get my self going.
