The person who just walked up to the gym, was the last person Play wanted to see, it was Jake.

"Hey Play!" He said. "I'm just about to get my first badge." Play pulled out his badge, and gleefully showed it to Jake.

"Woah, you got it already?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Play nodded slowly.

"Well, it was nice seeing you." Jake smiled, then he ran into the gym. The game was on! He looked at his map. Only one route lay in-between Silvent city, and the next city, Brimber city. There was also an abandoned graveyard, it didn't have a name. It was infamous however, for containing several ghost Pokémon that haunted the grounds. Play needed to get to Brimber city though. So he walked down the paved path, on the way, he took out the charge beam TM, he took out the disc inside. TMs were digital discs which would scan into your Pokémon and automatically teach them that move. He did that to his tired Mareep. All of his Pokémon and jumped on him. All of them looked slightly confused at Nidorano.

"This is Nidorano." He said. "The evolved form of Nidoran." They all seemed to understood.  Play fell back laughing.

"Ok guys, let's heal you up. He took them all to the Pokémon center, and healed them up.

A lumberjack with a curly brown beard stood next to a tree holding a gleaming silver axe.

"Um, hello." Play said. "Do you know how to get to Brimber city?" The man turned around and laughed.

"Sure I do." He said. "You just need your Pokémon to cut it down." The lumberjack handed Play a TM.

"It contains the move Cut." He said. Play got the disc out and decided to teach it to Nidorano He sent Nidorano out.

"Use cut." Play called. Nidorano, cut powerfully forward with it's single horn, and sliced down a tree. Play thanked the lumber jack and walked on into route 4. It was a short hill, up into Brimber territory. A short walk up the hill, and Play would be there. This wasn't as easy as he'd thought, about half way up, something tugged his trouser leg and fell all the way down. He tried again, this time, he spotted a runt Pidgey trying to tug him back down.

A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand. Very docile. If attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back. If at all possible, it will try to avoid battles. Small or weak enemies are blown away by whirlwind.

As soon as Play reached for his Pokéball, the bird took off and flew away, tutting to himself, Play dragged himself back up the hill, to the top, and stumbled into route 5. As he stepped in, an overwhelming heat took over him, there were trainers wearing more appropriate clothing, like hats and shorts. A trainer jumped out and challenged him.

"GO Litleo." He said.

"GO Piplup." Play said. Piplup seemed to struggle, the heat was making it hard to use water moves, but making it easier to use fire moves, in the end, they were both utterly tired out. Play won though. Many more trainers challenged him, it wiped out Play's team by he got to the graveyard. Play had to use all his potions, to recover his team. A blackbelt challenged him to a fight.

"GO Pancham." He said.

"GO Mareep." Play said. He already had a run in with a Pancham, it wasn't nice.

"Use charge beam!" Play said. A ball of electricty shot toward Pancham, hitting it dead on.

"Use arm thrust." Blackbelt said. Pancham thrust it's arms, and hit Mareep three times.
"Use spark." Play said.

"Jump!" Blackbelt said. Pancham jumped over it.

"Use karate chop." Black belt said. Pancham karate-chopped Mareep on the head, knocking it out.

"Mareep, return." Play said. "Rookidie, GO!" Rookidie had been itching for a fight for quite a while for now. "Use hone claws." Play said. "Now use peck." Because the heat had fried Play's brain, he had forgotten to use two pecks instead of one. It was good enough though, as Pancham was knocked out.

"Pancham Return!" Blackbelt said. "Machop, GO."

"Use Karate chop!" It was so balanced, and so well timed, that it OHKO'd.

"Mareep, Return." Play said. "GO Piplup." Piplup looked as dazed and as melted as it did before.

"Use bubble beam." Play said.

"Backflip." Blackbelt said. Piplup, looked startled, and then angry, it started to struggle. Then it flashed blue. It grew taller, it's head became pointed, and two curvy horns grew on it's head, and it''s flipped grew longer, and jagged. The blue went away, and Piplup was now Prinplup.

It's wings deliver wicked blows that snap even the thickest of trees. It searches for prey in icy seas. Because every Prinplup considers itself to be the most important, they can never form a group. It lives alone, away from others. Apparently, every one of them believes it is the most important.

Prinplup struck forward with a claw made of metal

Machop didn't expect it, and staggered to it's knees. Prinplup, took no mercy, as it struck forward like a knife, and struck Machop again, with crushing power. But suddenly, Prinplup fell over. As Prinplup turned over, a sharp stone had lodged in it's leg.

"We need to get to a center Machop, fell over, and fainted. The blackbelt's mouth fell open, like a drawer.

Play, collapsed to the floor, when he to the shade,

"Aaaahhh." He gasped. "No more heat." But little did he know, that very later, he would be experiencing the heat of a lifetime. He was almost in Brimber city, enjoying the shade while it lasts. Then, he turned around, and saw Jake with a huge grin on his face.

"I just won the Arc badge." Jake said with a smile. "Lets battle." Play was quick to respond.

"GO nidorino." Play said. he couldn't help but try to defeat Jake.

"GO Nidoran." Jake said. He had sent out a female Nidoran.

"Use poison sting." Jake said.

"Use the same." Play said. Both Pokémon clashed, but Nidorino was stronger, and it tossed Nidoran back.
"Now use mud slap." Play said. Nidorino leapt forward, and slapped Nidoran up into the air. Nidorino took off on it's own, and kicked Nidoran twice.

Nidorino: Moves: Double kick learned

Nidoran fainted.

"Nidoran, Return." Jake said. "Blitzle GO." Blitze leaped out.

"Use spark." Jake said, it was so quick, that Nidorino couldn't dodge it. It was slightly paralysed.

"Now run around." Jake said. Blitzle began running round in a circle around Nidorino, tiny sparks flying from it's heels.

"Use poison sting." Play said, Nidorino kept trying and missing, what Jake didn't realise, was that Nidorino's power was building up the more it struck, so eventually when Blitzle was stabbed, it was criticaly over-powering.

"Blitzle return." Jake said. "Eevee GO." But Nidorino had also been growing weaker.

"Use swift." Jake said. Nidorino couldn't move, the swift knocked it out. Jake laughed.
"Still not good enough, eh?" He ran off into Brimber.

"I'll beat him one day if it's the last thing I do." Play growled, losing to Jake always put him in the worst of moods.
