In The Goddess Tower

The night after the meeting of 'The Protectors of Humanity':

Edelgard found herself walking through the cathedral but not to pray and that much was obvious, but the reason she was there in the first place was a mystery. Rodrigue and Seteth were there and they took notice but just watched as she past them by.

Edelgard made herself to the entrance of the goddess tower and along the way up she found a body of an imperial soldier. "huh?... a body is this of someone that was supposed to guard the area?" she walked all the way to the top but did not see anyone so she looked out over the land, a cloud covering what was left of the sun falling moved and the room filled with a dim light where in the corner of her eye she caught another figure sulked against the wall, they had a familiar outline. the person looked up and Edelgard saw a face she could not have forgotten it was Dimitri's "D-Dimitri is that you are you alive... or are you just another body now because my actions..." Dimitri growled "youuuu.... you came here to taunt me didn't you!" he slowly inched his way up clinging to his lance, with fury in his eye. "Dimitri wait! We are not fighting anymore!" her words didn't even reach his ears as he gets up and charges at her. "I WILL KILL YOU EDELGARD THE VOICES NEED YOUR HEAD!" Edelgard still had the skills she needed to parry his attack and his spear got stuck in the ground.

"WHAT IS GOING ON UP THERE" Seteth's voice yelled from down below, "I NEED HELP!" Edelgard cried out in a response up the stairs ran Seteth and Rodrigue. "No way dimitri!?" seteth blurted. "YOUR MAJESTY?! Your alive!?" Rodrigue said as he teared up a little. All three of them held dimitri down. "YOU BETRAYED THEM TOO RODRIGUE! Glenn calls for your head too... yes step mother I WILL kill all three!" he spouted his non-sense, Edelgard slowly began to cry "STOP IMAGINING HER WERE GETTING REVENGE FOR HER TOGETHER!" She was uncharacteristically overcome with emotions, rodrigue followed up. "yes dimitri we're fighting together to stop the people that are guilty of duscur!" one of Edelgards tears hit dimitri's face and he slowly snapped out of it and stopped struggling. "El... is this true? swear to me... on patricia's grave" She weeped  "yes im sorry Dimitri..." Edelgard hugged him, "i-im so happy you're alive" she buried herself into dimitri, slowly a smile crept up dimitri's face as he hugged her back.

after the emotional scene had passed Dimitri was given all of the details whilst still in the goddess tower the four collectively saw streaks of light falling to the ground out of the sky in the far distance. "Was that them?..." Edelgard whispered. "damn they still have access to the pillars of light." Seteth grumbles to himself in visible pain. The four ran down the stairs to see if anyone else had seen it, to little surprise they find Hubert in a panic "Lady Edelgard!" he yelled. "From my calculations the pillars hit the great bridge of myrddin we are also getting reports of scouts seeing a large army approaching gronder!" he said losing his breath. "thank you hubert we must call an emergency meeting at once." In the end they decided to use their combined force to meet head to head at gronder.
