Gronder field had already nearly been completely taken as the reinforcements containing Edelgard, Dimitri, Seteth and Claude arrived. Immeadietly they called for the retreat of the original troops stationed there, or rather what was left of them.

They had noticed some oddities about the Agarthan forces, mostly concerning the soldiers and their formation around their generals. the generals were up front as if they were juggernauts capable of taking battalions on their own, not to mention the magic powered giants they had slowly advancing. "What the hell... something about all of this is surreal... it looks like the generals up front... have relic weapons." Claude said observantly. "RELICS?!" Seteth said as if it was impossible. "No they aren't true relics... like mine... I hope so at least, they know how to make weapons almost or even more powerful than relics." Dimitri stayed silent anger flowing through him. Edelgard noticed his behavior "Dimitri you must stay calm it would not do to lose you here, your anger may hinder you-" "SHUT UP!" Dimitri yelled cutting off Edelgard, she frowned but took a couple steps forward. "We must stop them here or they could become uncontrollably powerful." as Edelgard prepared to make a stand Claude intervened "those generals no way... we we... we have to fall back now! If we are to take them on we'd need more troops!" "WHAT? we have more troops this will be easy!" Catherine said smirking "Seteth, Edelgard the general with the most troops look closely..." The two did as he recomended, a single tear rolled down Edelgards cheek and she looked intensely at more generals. "FALL BACK ALL TROOPS DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HOLD THE LINE!" Seteth's expression said more than enough as he ran to the now fleeing Edelgard "But emperor!-" he yelled "no they're gone." looked him in the eyes as both fled.

As soon as they had returned to Garreg Mach an emergency Meeting of generals was called, the only one who did not show up was Seteth and understandably Edelgard was not upset. "something unexpected has come up regarding our enemies... they are using those who have died already as soldiers, recreating them as puppets for strength. We saw many that are long dead, Flayn, some of my siblings, Lambert and..." she was pained by having to say this "and... Her." "father..." Dimitri muttered to himself. "Wait you can't mean!" ingrid chimed in. "yes.." Edelgard responded a bit coldly, Alois was crying hearing this surely thinking about how he 'failed' to keep byleth safe or even find her body preventing this. "I assume this is only a fraction of the people controlled by the Agarthans, Glenn, Shamir, Ashe, Caspar and more of our friends and family that were killed in the war or by the Agarthans may also be puppets for their army." Hubert said, not improving the attitude in the room at all but letting everyone know it was a serious threat to them. "We must make sure to keep moving and to not let foot soldiers know of this to keep their spirits up, if they are as scared as we are we have no chance of winning." he said truthfully. "dismissed..." Edelgard muttered and all of the generals left the room.

None of them Had a full nights rest afterwards, even the least emotional were severely affected by it. but by far what scared them the most was Byleth and her insane power, it was not even close.
