When I returned to Emilia, she was nearly consumed by Solaris's gifts. The temptations of the Abyss had warped her. There was madness in her voice, the ethereal whisperings of Acile's demons. His love for the creatures confounds me and yet without them I would not have found a way to give my love the silence she needs. I will admit they are not all bad, but I find myself hesitant to trust when they caused Emilia such pain already.

The demon that led me to a solution called itself Asu. It spoke of a stone buried deep in the dwarven Warrens, one that held the heat of the sun. When I left for it I wasn't sure of its existence, but now that I have it in my hands and Asu is silent I understand what the spirit meant in leading me to it. I asked for a way to silence the Abyss and the stone does just that.

The red stone is warm like the midday sun, truly a gift from Solaris for her troubled children.

I have not been able to reach Emilia yet. Her magic weaves around our home making barriers and summoning monsters to ward me away.

I know she is not herself right now. My only hope is that the vibrant woman she was before can be recovered.

Even if it cannot I will not leave her side. I will abandon the stone for a moment and consult Asu again for a solution. May the demon have mercy on us both.
