SKYLAR WALKED INTO HER BEDROOM WITH AN AGGRAVATED SIGH, DROPPING HER BAG ON THE FLOOR. She froze when she saw her phone sitting in the middle of her bed. She realized she lost it the night her and Scott were stuck in the woods after making it home. What freaked her out even more was a folded piece of paper neatly folded beside the electronic device. She hesitantly grabbed the paper, her eyes reading over the slightly sloppy written words.

'Trust your gut. It's right every time.'

Skylar pulled her eyebrows together into confusion, rereading the words again. She gulped as her palms grew sweaty in slight fear and nervousness. Her eyes trailed under the words to the symbol that was perfectly drawn. A triskele symbol.

She then felt a cool breeze hit the bare skin of her arms. Looking to her window, she frowned when she remembered having her window closed before she left for school. She folded the piece of paper back up, shoving it between a few books on her night stand. Then she moved to her window, shutting it halfway before abruptly coming to a halt.

The scent of leather, mint, and cologne filled her sense of smell. It took her a few moments to remember exactly this specific scent. Her eyes widened slightly when the last time she smelt this scent was at Lydia's party she was forced to attend.

"Finally! You made it." Lydia hugged Skylar before dragging her through the house and to the backyard. The blaring music made the house shake a little and vibrate Skylar's chest until she reached outside.

"Where's Jackson? Isn't he supposed to be here?" Skylar asked the strawberry blonde as they pushed their way through the dancing crowd.

"Yes he is and I don't know if he's here or - there he is! I'll catch up with you!" Lydia rushed toward Jackson who was standing with the lacrosse group, leaving Skylar on her own.

She huffed, making her way around until she stopped dead in her tracks when seeing Scott and Allison dancing together. A small smile made it's way onto her face, feeling happy for Scott finally finding someone. But the smile quickly faded when catching sight of her brother eyeing Scott eerily, almost like he was waiting for Scott to do something.

The sudden drop in her stomach made her sigh in frustration. She wondered why she was beginning to get these gut feelings more often than usual. It was starting to make her angry. Her eyes fell onto Derek who stood off in the corner near the back entrance of the yard. He stared right back at her.
