"Texting lover boy again?" Maria teased, appearing next to me as we walked into school I rolled my eyes at her Yes... I was texting Kade, but I didn't need all the teasing about it.
"Why don't you go see Parker?" I asked boredly, nodding over to him sat on the steps smoking with a book in his hand "Uh- no it's okay, we can just go to class" she said, glancing at him I sighed "You've not spoken have you?" I asked.
"No" she groaned "He just... he hasn't messaged me, he hasn't spoke to me, and I feel awkward if I go speak to him first, especially after all this time" she said hesitantly.
"Who knew?" I mused "What?" She asked confused, snapping her head back up, her wavy hair bouncing "The great Maria Harper could be so... nervous" I teased "Pff, me? Never..." she crossed her arms, raising her head up in a huff.
I rolled my eyes at her "Sure" I laughed.
"Hey... Kins" I looked around for the voice, the one I knew all too well And I caught sight of Kade by the doors "Ooh Kins..." Maria teased "It's only a nickname" I dismissed "Yeah and it's only a kiss... then the next thing you know you're bent over the bed hanging on for dear life" she said, her eyes off in the distance.
I looked at her, and she realised what she had just said, before she cleared her throat "Uh- come on, or we'll be late" she said, walking ahead of me But I kept catching Kade's gaze "I'll um- I'll catch up" I said, she glanced at Kade, who was now stood with Parker and nodded at me before quickly rushing off.
