Kade's POV

"Have a break, get me a coffee eh?" Dad teased
"Don't you have people for that?" I sighed, standing up
He looked at me, warning me away from a fight
I chuckled, leaving the office
I didn't care. Anything to get out of paperwork

I pulled my phone out as I walked to the elevator
Stopping as I saw her name
"Kins" I answered quickly
Tell me to come over
Tell me you forgive me

Tell me to fucking come and I will
"Kade" she let out shakily
"Kins? What's wrong?" I asked, stepping into the elevator and hitting the bottom floor
"I... she..." she was hyperventilating

"Kingsley? Baby tell me what's wrong?" I asked, trying to remain calm
"I can't I... she was here" she struggled out
She?

"Who?"
"A" she said panicked
"I'm on my way alright?" I said
"Lock the door and wait for me okay Kins?" I said, hearing no reply

Please fucking reply

Kingsley's POV

"O-okay" I mumbled, before the phone went dead
I looked down. No charge
Fuck.
I tried to move, to get up and lock the door
But I was stuck where I sat, a million thoughts racing through my mind

It was locked when I came home, how did she even get in?
Why was she here?
Kade said he sorted it

He... he told me I was safe
The sound of the door opening shot a bolt through my body
I pulled myself up, running to the bathroom and locking myself in

I waited. Trying to slow my breathing
"Kingsley? You home?" Mom shouted
I sighed, tears running down my cheeks
"Kingsley?"
"Y-yeah. I'm home" I called back, trying to control my voice

"Where's your father? I thought he was bringing you home?" She asked as I dried my eyes, looking at myself in the mirror
Just stay calm. Be calm.

"Alex brought me back" I replied, pulling a plaster from the cabinet and putting it over my cheek
"Why?" She asked

"He didn't show" I said, opening the door
She was making tea, throwing me a smile when she saw me, before her face dropped
"Are you okay? You look a little ill" she said worriedly
"I'm fine... long day" I offered, plugging my phone in
"What happened to your cheek?" She asked

"Accident in design" I lied. Lies and lies
It's all that came out of my mouth anymore

"Did your dad say why he wasn't coming?" She asked
"No" I shook my head
Worries filled me
What if they got to him?
