Max--

Did Desmond actually do something like that? I would think that Nero would be the one to finish him off. "Desmond, such power you can bring to this world. Shame that I can't use it," Nero said. After that Nero vanished again. "We need to go head to Miltia." Desmond looked at me in disbelief. "You can't be serious. The Miltian Star system is closed off for all eternity after the incident!" he exclaimed. "How will we be able to gate jump there?" I thought for a moment. If U-TIC's HQ is on Miltia, then they must have a secret way to get there.

I set course to Second Miltia. After that I closed my eyes to talk to Alfina.

"Oh, hello Max. Do you need something?" she asked. It's amazing how she could have a good time in this black emptiness of a world. "Do you know a secret way to get to Miltia?" She looked at me then looked away. She's hiding something from me. "There is a way, but it's too risky; unless we use Edmund," she said.

"Edmund? How will he able to port us through? He doesn't have the hyper drive installed yet." She had a grin on her face. She was planning something. "That's what we want them to think. Edmund didn't start out with a hyper drive. Thanks to the powers you gave me, I can hack through any type of system," she said. "So you used your powers to install the hyper drive into Edmund," I said. "Right. Once we get there we can do our next steps."

I was still confused though the pay toll will stop us and turn us around. "He's part of U-TIC, they will let us through. Oh, and good idea for setting course to Second Miltia; we need the gate jump access codes there." That's all she said before she vanished. I awoke to see stars. Then I realized we were out in space. "Where are we?" "We are getting to our jump coordinates." I jumped at the sound of Desmond. We weren't that much farther. I looked around to see Edmund flying close by. "Edmund, do you know you have a hyper drive installed into you?" "Alfina installed that hardware into me when she was talking in her sleep, the first time she met you....

"Is she alright?" I said. "No, she may need more time to recover. All we can do is---" "Hyper drive...install." Alfina whispered. Then everything went dark. I heard the computer inside me said that I am shutting down for a while.

<Present>

"That's all I remember before the fight between me and Nero." "You're an android, but how do you talk without a robot voice?" Max questioned. "Well, he gave me a heart. I don't know why though; weapons don't have hearts." He looked so shocked. "We reached the coordinates. Commencing gate jump sequence."
