The figure standing before him vanished into a misty nothing.

"W-" George breathed heavily a few times.

He rubbed his eyes, dropping the phone to the floor. The headphones ripped out of his ears as the clatter from the phone touching the hard floor echoed across the dim halls. A light from above flickered as the storm outside raged on.

"Oh my f- God." George picked his phone back up quickly, and enabled his senses to hear Sapnap again.

"Sorry." George stated.

"Is everything okay?" George looked around.

"I think I just.. Maybe. I don't know maybe I need sleep or something but I just saw Dream. He- He vanished though. Like. He's gone-" George looked up the stairs.

Nothing.

"I- Maybe it was a hallucination?" Sapnap questioned.

"I really don't know. It.. It couldn't have been him right? People don't just vanish.."

"Ground yourself George. Try to stay calm." Sapnap attempted to help.

"I- Right.." A loud ding came from the speakers next to the entrance for an invisible terminal ride.

"I think it's coming." George looked.

"Oh.. No. UGH" Sapnap laughed.

"Maybe you do need sleep." George groaned.

"I guess. Something like that."

"When was the last time you slept.?" George thought.

"Yesterday-" Sapnap sighed.

"God when is it going to come?"

"Why don't you make it come." George thought.

"Oh my God." Sapnap laughed.

"What?" George scoffed at his reaction.

"What do you mean 'what'?"

"I said 'make it' come you heard me." George face palmed.

"I'm not going to do that thank you."

"Awe why not?" George started laughing again.

"Obvious reasons Sapnap!" A loud rumble from inside the entrance.

"No way-"

George said, peering inside the entrance. Sure enough the ride came quietly through.

"YEs!" George said.

"Ph my God dude that voice crack-" Sapnap said.

"Shut up the terminal is here- We manifested it!" George quickly rushed to the entrance.

"Still nobody.. Huh. This place is really empty." George said, noticing the lack of other people.

"Well there is a bad storm.." George shrugged.

"True." George felt a soft presence behind him.

He ignored it. A hand. George gasped and turned.

"What a great moment this is." George held the phone shakily to his ear.

"No.."

"What happened?" Sapnap tried to communicate.

The figure pulled him away from the ride. George let it happen. Pure shock froze him a moment in time as the figure threw him away from freedom. He felt his world slip from in between his fingers. His grasp loosened as despair shattered his hope. His life.
