The basketball team agreed to split the gym with the volleyball team as you and Daichi were fighting again.
A net was set in the center of the gym as both practices carried out. While your side was doing dribbling and shooting drills the volleyball team was doing a vertical jump test.
You watched in amazement as they jumped up to reach for the backboard. The kid with orange hair caught your attention, even if he wasn't tall he had great jumping height.
Without noticing your whole team began to watch as each player did their vertical jump. You snapped out of your trance and turned back to your team and called back for practice.
Soon the coach came in calling for your teams rounds of vertical jumps. Although it wasn't necessarily mandatory, your coach described it as their way of helping with form when shooting.
Not sure what that really meant.
One by one your team lined up and did as told. "Look Daichi-san they jump as high as I do!" Hinata exclaimed to his captain as he watched your team in admiration.
From afar Kiyoko watched as you dipped your hand in the white power. (Not drugs) and prepared to jump.
With much will force you sprinted forward and bent your knees jumping as high as you could and smacking your hand against the back board.
"Gahh I jumped lower this time!" You whined as the coach read out your result. Which so happened to be shorter then the previous time. "D-did you see that Kageyama! Their jump was awesome."
Hinata practically praised you as he watched you clean your hands. As for Kiyoko, her eyes were wide as she looked at your finger marks.
For someone who was about the same height as Daichi you managed to jump higher than Hinata.
"Alright get back to practice!" You and Daichi yelled simultaneously which made you send a glare at each other.
You team did a small games against one another as you usually did. The whistle blew indicating the start of the round. "Right Tomu." You said as they passed the ball to you.
You dribbled the ball and ran past a player, as they attempted to steal the ball you spun around along with the ball and ran the other way confusing the player.
Meanwhile the volleyball team watched in eagerness as you came closer to the net. Taking a giant leap you held the ball with both hands and dunked it into the hoop. You cheered as you hung on the rim whilst your teammates yelled for you to get down.
After a while your side had finished up practice as the volleyball side continued.
"Hey hey glasses-chan!" You waved her down as she bowed greeting you. "Don't forget to come to my game." You said as you sat beside her and the first year manager.
"I won't forget." She reassured while watching the boys play around. "The jump of your was very impressive." She continued as she still watched the boys. "R-really?" You gushed as she nodded.
"Oi we're leaving!" The team called out to you as they left. You waved and still sat beside Kiyoko. "Are you not going home?" She asked. "You want me to leave? I'm hurt glasses-chan."
She waved both her hands denying your previous question. "I'm just messing, I want to walk you home again, I'll wait it's okay." Kiyoko was taken aback as she didn't expect you'd wait.
As you promised before, you waited as she helped close up the gym for the night. "Ready to go?" She nodded, but stopped when she saw you on your bike. "Hop on it'll be faster since it already late."
"Don't be scared I'm a master at riding a bike." You praised yourself as she chuckled and got on the bike. She wasn't sure where to place her hands so she did what most people did and wrapped them around your waist.
You smiled widely as a blush made way. The ride was mostly quiet aside from the crickets creaking in the background. Kiyoko felt slightly uncomfortable with the large gap between the two of you so she leaned forward pressing her chest against your back.
She could feel you flinch, as she giggled seeing the slight blush against you ears. "Are you okay?" Her innocent voice made you scream internally, as you nodded.
"We're here glasses-chan." She got off the bike and thanked you. "Get home safely." Said said as she began her way into the house. You smirked and leaned your arms on the handle. "Only if I get a kiss." You said pointing to your cheek.
She abruptly stopped and turned showing you her blush. Nonetheless she ended up giving you a kiss. To hide your red face you smiled and rode away quickly.
"Night!" She screamed as you waved while riding into the night.
