While Kyle and I were watching the film, I heard keys and the door opened. My dad came in with bags from the grocery store.
"Hey dad" I said while pausing the film.
"Hey Tai. Everything okay?" He said not looking at me and heading towards the kitchen. He hadn't obviously seen Kyle.
"Dad, Kyle's here" I said and my dad turned aroung calmly and waved at him, being used to Kyle coming over to our home. He continued putting the fruit in the fridge.
"I see you are watching the same film as always" He said kinda laughing at the fact we always watched the same films. He usually watched them with us but only when it was the first time watching them.
"Hey, it's your favourite as well" Kyle said pretending to be offended.
"Only I've watched it only twice" my dad said and came with us on the couch with three burgers. Cheeseburger, my favourite!
Dad came and sat with us on the couch and didn't seem to be very interested in the film.
"Dad, I gotta ask you something.""Hmm?" As if he didn't knew.
"I told you yesterday I wanted to go somewhere with the guys on summer, right?"
"And I told you you could forget about it." He didn't even bother to look at me.
"But I have a great idea of what we could do! Listen, we could go to Cuba and stay at your friend Jose's Hotel. That way I will have fun with my friends and you will still be able to know where I am." I hoped my puppy eyes were working, cause this time he actually was looking at me.
"Kyle, you'll be with her, right?" That sounded like he was thinking about it. Maybe it actually worked.
"Yes sir!" Kyle put an arm on my shoulders.
"I really don't understand why you want to go so much." Oh, no, I thought I had him.
"Firstly because all of my friends will and I don't wanna be the one left out and also because it will be a great opportunity for me to spread my horizons and be independant!" I would even write an essay if it meant he'd let me go...
"Well, I guess you can go but only for a couple of weeks or so"
"Thank you dad! Oh, thank you, thanks!" I fell in his arms and kissed his cheek multiple times.
"Kyle, I need you to watch out for her, okay?" My dad looked Kyle seriously.
"Of course, sir, I would anyways." Oh, would he?
