"C'mon dad, hurry up! Don't blame me if I'm late again!" I said picking up my bag and wearing my shoes as fast as I could, jumping up and down trying to fit my feet in.
I overslept again, and unfortunately there is no other responsible member in this family to bother waking me up...
"I'm coming! For christ's sake Taissa, don't ever leave your things on the floor like that again, are you trying to kill me?" My dad said, trying not to fall down, kicking the clothes that were lying on the floor to the side.
"I would never even think of that dad, ever" I said with the most sarcastic smile. I was saving that for him, after our last night's fight.
Last night. I'm getting pissed even thinking about it.
It's almost Summer and like any other 16 year old girl, I just wanna go somewhere with my friends for a couple of weeks. I really don't understand what my dad's problem is, since my mum totally agreed, but maybe that's his problem. My parents are divorced and I spend every weekend with my dad. He lives in a small house near the beach and I really like spending time with him on weekends, but when he talks about my mum, it really pisses me off. It's like he never even loved her. I really try to remind him that it hasn't been that long since he was her husbant, but he just acts as if she's an enemy to him... And last night was one of those nights. Once I told him that mum would let me go on vocation with my friends, he was determind to do whatever he could to stop me. And of course the usual talk about my mum came on, and the subject was no longer my summer holidays, but my mother.
"Get in the car Tai, you're the one that doesn't want to be late, right?" He says, starting the car.
I quickly jump in and let a sigh of relief, my heart beating fast from the running I did to be ready on time.
I always pick my outfits the night before school so that I don't have to worry about that in the morning as well. So today I was wearing my black, high-waisted shorts with a white top and my vans. I also wore my oversized jeans jacket that once belonged to my dad, because with a house next to the beach we also have to deal with the cold breeze in the morning. I had quickly brushed my blond hair before I left and put my round glasses on. I never really did anything with my hair so I just left them as they were when I woke up. I'm a natural blond and my hair is long and kinda wavy. I know I have really nice hair, it's the first thing everybody notices on me. It's kinda annoying though, it is like all there is on me is my hair.
"Have a good day hun." My dad said with his sweetest voice, obviously he had remembered what happened last night and tried to act sweet and all, but that doesn't really work with me. What will work is letting me go on vocation with my friends.
"Don't try dad, you're not saving it" I walked calmly out of the car and forced a smile. I wasn't late like I thought.
Hello, everyone :D I just wanted to tell you the girl on the second black and white photo is Taissa ;)
