It's 9 already.

I want to finalize my work quickly and then head to the club.

My friends have organized the New year party at Club 19.

.....

Oh! I forgot to introduce myself.

This is Katya.

I am the co-owner of a small restaurant - RestroCafe in Manali.

I live on my own, have a small home near VPO Aleo, Old Manali road.

....

I broke up with my boyfriend - Zayd a month ago and hasn't come out of it entirely.

Wishing for a new outset and a fresh beginning.

Because I was never asking for too much, I was just asking the wrong person.

...

I cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what was happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself.

Damn!!

I am getting late now.

Let me just wrap up my work quickly.

....

I am about to leave, just looking for my keys.

*Knock Knock*

*Knock Knock*

I peep through the magic eye.

It's the delivery guy.

...

- Here's your parcel ma'am. Please sign here.

*It's a huge and heavy parcel*

- Thank you. Happy New Year.

- Happy New Year.

It's a New year present from Mom and Dad as the sender's address reads.

Pretty unusual.

They have hardly sent anything over the years.

....

Let me unwrap it quickly as I am already late.

It's an antique sculpture of a man with nails on the head.

They have a strange taste.

I called them just to say thanks.

-NO WAIT!! What you mean you didn't send a present.

-Katya. Relax. We didn't send anything. It must be from your friend. I'll talk to you later, we gotta leave. Happy New Year dear.

-Wait! No....

...

They didn't send any present.

As soon as I disconnected the call there was a message from my friend -

"I don't know whether you heard it or not but Zayd died this morning. He committed suicide. My consoles are with you."

I was horrified.

I didn't know what to do or where to run.

"Missing me?" I hear a choppy voice.

...

I turn around.

The sound was showing up from the figure.

The skin starts moulding, slowly slowy turning into Zayd's facial structure. Approaching me.

Blood dripping from the nails.

He appears close to my face and mumbles-
That's the funny thing about trying to escape. You never really can. Maybe temporarily, but never completely.

That's when the lights went off.
